The first day of my primary school holds significance as it marks the beginning of a new chapter in life. It's a milestone where we embark on a journey of learning, growing and new experiences. This day is etched in our memories because it symbolises stepping out of our comfort zones and embracing new challenges. My first day of school was very special,I still remember it like it was yesterday.I woke up early;took a quick shower and all dressed in my new uniform. My backpack was full of books, pencil and my lunchbox.I was actually nervous but excited because I was going to meet new people and learn new things. It was a sunny day and my dad dropped me at the main gate.I took a deep breath in and started walking towards the entrance, I felt thrilled and anxious.I saw learners jumping, running and playing around but I silently walked forward as I started to staring at other kids. Most of the children were in groups talking, laughing and smiling, they seemed to be indifferent to me.It frightened me;How would I get along with these learners?I wanted to go back home but it was impossible! The school building was very huge with a large playground that was bustling with many students,as I was still looking around my school,a beautiful middle age teacher came out of our school staff room and told every child to go and stand on assembly so that they could show us our new register classes.I stood up on assembly until the teacher showed me my register teacher," Ma'am Babery".My classmates and I walked in a straight line behind our register with our thombs put on our mouths,as we were told not to make noise.Immediately as we arrive in our classroom,I started feeling like I was joke as everyone else in the classroom looking at me because I was shivering (paranoid). My register teacher,Ma'am Babery came to my table and asked if I was alright?I then replied with a yes Ma'am and then I looked down, until ma'am asked us to introduce ourselves to our classmates. As soon as we introduce ourselves to each other,I started feeling a little bit better. Most of the learners gathered around me and they started talking to me kindly. My class teacher was the most sweetest person on earth, she allowed her students to get along and she asked to play some educational games with us.I really enjoyed the incredible relationship we shared with our teachers. The way Ma'am Babery cared for all her students,it felt as if she was our second parents at school. As soon as the bell rang for break time,I took my lunch bag and decided to sit with my classmates during break. My classmates and I shared alot of different topic and a couple of jokes together, that's where we formed a beautiful friendship. We shared our lunch amongst ourselves and ate everything up with a delightful heart. As soon as break time was over,we forgot where our classroom was and went to the reception to ask again about our class and from there ,the principal called our register teacher through the intercom and asked her to come to the receptionist to fetch us.As soon as Ma'am Babery arrived at the receptionist, she entered with a smile and said"Come on learners let's go to class".We walked to class and as soon as we arrived in our classroom,My teacher asked with a polite voice:"Learners what happened"?We explain everything honestly to ma'am Babery but the teacher just laughed at us and she replied by saying "Learners I can see that you love and take good care of each other, please do not change".My classmates and I promised our teacher that it will never happen ever again.Ma'am Babery asked us to sing some song , coloured in our colouring books until we got extremely tired from the things we did in class.Ma'am Barbery instructed us to lay our heads on our desks and sleep as she has also promised to wake us up when it's time to go home.We listened to the teacher and did what she told us to do,we slelp peacefully until she woke us up with this song "I love you;You love me; We're a very happy family and a great big heart and a kiss from me to you",as I lifted my head up to see the person whose singing the song.I saw that it was our lovely teacher.I really became so sad when I finally realised,it was after school because I had an amazing day with the strangers I met in the morning in class until we knew each other better and now they've become my friends. So this is why I think it is much important for us,I mean learners to respect our teachers because teacher's are like the stars, just the stars that lights up the whole world but teacher's light up our mind preparing us for life challenges. They sacrifice their own spare time so that they can help us,where we're stuck. They grow us from tinny saplings into mighty trees, they guide us when we're lost and help us where we are stuck.Respecting our teachers is not about saying Good Morning or Good Afternoon. Its's about listening to them and do what they tell us to do without even getting upset. We as learners must ppreciate our teachers.
