Good Girl

1090 Words
He slipped his hand underneath the shirt and grabbed my ass. I pushed him aside, “Alpha, stop.” “Call me by my name.” He breathed on my neck as he proceeded to land a soft kiss on it. His words surprised me! In my past life, even though he forced me to live with him and claimed himself as my man, I was never allowed to call him by his name. While I never understood the reason, I always assumed that it was his way of keeping the promise never to publicize our relationship. I never wanted to be associated with this man, so I always threatened to kill myself if he ever breathed about us in public. Even though the Alpha wanted to marry me and claim me as his mate in front of the whole world, he never could. I was abruptly pulled back to the present when I felt him lift my leg and press himself against me, “Come on, say it.” “Ahhhh.” I moaned as my p***y throbbed in the way it had never by his touch. I clung to his shoulder and looked at him with half-hooded eyes. I could say that he was liking the view in front of him, “Who do you belong to, Celeste?” He pressed himself against me harder. “D… Donovan.” I managed to hiss while biting on my lips. I could feel the bulge through his robe, and the fire in his eyes was clearly telling off his desire to slam me on the bed. I was still tired from last night, but knowing this monster, I know he would not give a f**k and exploit me till I collapse. I closed my eyes, silently convincing myself to accept the fate, when suddenly, he put me down. My eyes scanned his face in confusion. What was he doing? He gently landed a peck on my forehead and said, “Good girl.” … That’s it? Why was he not being the selfish monster that he always is? While all this was going on, I failed to notice the faint noises of someone eavesdropping on us. Without waiting for anyone to answer or giving a warning, Penelope pushed open the bedroom door by herself and witnessed us hugging. I mindlessly turned towards the door to see her frozen in her place, her eyes on us. “What is going on?” The words mumbled out of her lips. I immediately shook my head in panic and slipped out of his hands, “Sis, this is a misunderstanding. Please don’t assume anything. I will explain.” Penelope’s hurt eyes scanned me from head to toe; first my messy bun, then the shirt I had on, and then the faint marks all over my neck. When I noticed her looking at my neck, I deliberately pulled my collar close, acting coy. “Uncle Donovan, Celeste… You, you… you. What are you both doing?” The young mistress freaked out. Her voice, which was always gentle and sweet, had an aggressive undertone to it. I could even capture disbelief and anger in her eyes, which was opposite to her usually angelic self. I secretly smirked. This was what I was looking forward to. But, boy, did I underestimate Penelope and her acting skills. She has loved this man for years and grew up dreaming about marrying him, but right now, he was dressed in a bathrobe, indecently hugging her sister. This has to be the biggest betrayal she has ever received, but faced the situation, she was quick to compose herself. The initial emotional outburst, which happened when she first entered the room, seemed to be all concealed and sorted off. She calmly took off her coat and put it over my shoulder. "Celeste, you have weak immunity. You will catch a cold if you stand exposed to the window wearing so little.” She said like a caring elder sister. I smirked to myself, she sure had great endurance and skills. No wonder Donovon favoured her so much and thought she had the potential to be his Beta. I remember once I fell severely sick because he kicked me out of the house to spend the night in the rain after I threw a tantrum. The next day, he did not even come to take me to the hospital and instead asked Mr Thames to take me because he had to attend Penelope’s piano recital. He always liked Penelope more than me, it was just that he did not see her in that way. Seeing Penelope act all good and concerned, I could only sneer. It was such a pity that she never tried her luck in acting because if she did, I could tell she would go places. Back then, there were many instances when Donovon would ask me to act more like her. Since I got a second chance in life, I was going to listen to his suggestion and learn how to act like a saint and slit someone's throat. Penelope said, “Celeste, you were out all night. Everyone is worried back home. Let’s go back before they worry more.” “I…” I looked up at the Alpha, asking for his approval. The man looked into my eyes for a while before averting his gaze to Penelope, “You go first. I will send her in a while.” “But, Alpha…” She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped midway. She silently nodded her head and walked out. I could hardly contain my smile watching her admit defeat. Donovan asked, “Are you alright?” “I don’t know. I was out all night; my parents are going to be furious.” I replied. The man patted my back and said, “I will call your father and tell him you were with me. Don’t worry.” I nodded and hugged him, “Can I just stay here? I don’t want to go back that place.” “Why? What’s wrong?” His guards visibly went up with protectiveness when he heard me say that. My eyes welled up with tears and I shook my head, “I just don’t want to go.” The man was visibly concerned and spoke in a calm tone, “I will be leaving for work now. I don’t want to leave you alone. Go back home, okay?” I nodded my head without uttering a word.
