Now All We Can Do Is Wait
Violet slept for six hours only waking when the nurse or the doctor came in to check on Eli. She woke again at mid-nigh when Dr. Gable opened the door and walked in. Violet sat up and watched what the Doctor was doing. She lifted up the bandage and looked at the wound Liz had inflicted on Eli. "How does it look is it healing?" Violet looked at the Doctor with hopeful eyes.
"Not as quickly as I had hoped." The Doctor replied
"What does that mean?"
"It means his body is sluggish. Most likely from the loss of blood and the number of internal injuries to his lungs and other organs. I am going to take him for a CAT scan to see if they have healed."
"Can I go?" Violet asked with a hopeful look in her eyes.
"Not this time just wait he
