Chapter 26

*Optional task: Slay the queen mother centipede. Reward: 50000xp, 2x lucky spin* The notification of the system came at that dire moment.

Justin listened to the words of the system. The task was an optional one, did that mean he could reject the task ?

The centipede gave Justin no time to think, since it had found its target it was time to get serious! For such a small target any of its attack wouldn’t be efficient enough…only one could….

The centipede’s body swale. A green glow shone from inside its body, growing brighter and brighter like it was trying escape its current vessel.

Justin looked on in horror, the centipede just had to get more disgusting! Whatever was happening now couldn’t be good at all, he had to run away!

Justin's instincts were telling him to get the f**k out of that area…and get the f**k out he did. With his faster than average speed, Justin ran as far as he could from the place. Kulin too joined in. No one wanted to die.

The queen mother centipede's eyes squelched as they moved and caught sight of Justin escaping. She made a shriek that sounded tired in a way and tried to catch up to Justin. But the green glow couldn’t wait for the queen mother centipede.

The light very slowly burst out of the queens skin, revealing itself as the green liquid the centipedes all spit out.

More parts of its skin nursted open giving the green liquid space to sip out. Even the black armor on its skin melted away from the heat it gave off.

A loud noise sounded as the green liquid forcefully exploded out of the centipede's body. Green fluid rained down from the sky covering a vast area. All things it touched, living or non living, melted.

Justin was still running when he heard the sound of an explosion. As he looked back, green liquid filled the expanse of his vision. And it was coming for him!

“Run faster dummy!” Justin yelled at Kulin, why was he so slow?! Kulin ran as fast as he could, the rain of acid was not far from him…he was going to die soon!

Before kulin could think anymore, a hand had already grabbed him as he felt the wind hut his face with force. All kulin could see was the emerald green hairs that danced in the wind. “justin?”

Justin was literally piggybacking Kulin. It was no small fit having to carry a person and still run as he did but Justin did it, if he didn’t do it then kulin would be a goner.

A sound was made as the acid dropped on the ground behind kulin. The ground melted, the green liquid travelling down as it formed a hole going into god knows where.

“f**k!” Justin increased his speed. ‘How far is this thing planning to spread before it stops? You want to kill me? Well…you have to catch me first!’

Justin's eyes got redder as the wind and dirt blew past him. He was attaining a speed level he had never reached before!

*Limit surpassed: Agility increased by 2 points* the system's voice sounded, read out the contents of the notification. Justin was perplexed at that…limit surpassed? Agility increased by 2 points? ‘No wonder I suddenly feel like…” the sudden turning motion of the surroundings interrupted justin's thoughts…or was he the one turning upside down? ‘....fuck!!”

Two humans rolled down the slope, stumbling and hitting some rocks on the way. Justin had stumbled while running! They had fallen when death chased! ‘This is bad!’

Justin and kulin struggled to get up as the rain of acid inched closer to them. “its been an honor fighting with you” k ukin put hands on Justin’s back and patted him as both of them stared at the oncoming destruction.

Closing his eyes, Justin preferred to wallow in useless thoughts before he melted. ‘Heh, when I die maybe I’ll be put with the ladies with big tiddies. I wonder how help will be, since that’s where I’m going…maybe it wouldn’t be so bad after All. The devil may be a co-'

“hey hey” kulin tapped Justin as he got up and walked. Justin opened his eyes and was surprised to see himself still alive. The area just in front of his leg had melted, but he was unharmed.

“I’m alive!!” Justin rejoiced as he felt himself up to see if he was truly alive or just a ghost.

Kulin helped Justin up as both of them walked around the melted places surveying the amount of destruction. ‘Damn, this thing really hated me' justin thought to himself as he looked. The centipede had gone to such a length to finish him off…well guess what? ‘I ain’t that easy to ki-'

A wind blew as a figure came from beneath the ground and grabbed Justin and flew! Kulin felt a breeze, looking next to him he realized Justin had suddenly disappeared “…justin!”

A muscular humanoid figure flew at an extremely fast rate in the air, holding something in its arms…that something was Justin!

“hmff hmff!” Justin struggled in the grip of the figure. The bastard had covered his mouth, preventing him from making any noise.

As he struggled, he caught sight of the face of what held him. One could certainly say it was horrifying to behold. It had the face and eyes of a centipede but a mouth in the likeness of a human's. The arms holding him were like a man's hand too, only difference was the overly muscular nature and the needle like hairs on it. The chest and torso were human ones. The wings on the back resembled those of a butterfly while its two legs were like those of an insect…but bigger; wider and stronger. The being was a mash up of different insects on a human body!

In the vast greenlands; the gentle winds blew sending the grasses swaying here and there. No sign if life was present as any village would be far males away from there.

A flying object gradually zoomed into view as it fell from high in the air down to the ground. Before it could get up, (that’s If it even could) another life form landed right on its chest. The powerful legs of the life form certainly crushing the chest of the object.

Justin coughed up a mouthful of blood, ‘gosh! Right on the chest again? Why do the centipedes hate me so mucccc….’

The king father stepped down from justin's chest and then delivered a hard kick right in his stomach. The force sent Justin’s body sliding as he jacket made friction with the ground, causing the tear of some parts.

Justin arched in a fetal position as he clenched his belly. Pain…all he could feel was Pain!

“Ge…get up” a hoarse voice sounded. The king centipede walked over and kicked Justin the second time. The kick was so powerful it sent Justin into the air!

Another mouthful of blood cane dripping from Justin’s mouth as he landed heavily on the ground.

“geh up hoomen” the words came from the king centipede's mouth.

Justin kept trying to get up as he tried hard to understand what was going on. One minute he was standing with kulin and the next he was dying at the hands of another centipede!

The king father centipede flew over to Justin as he slowly landed by his side and grabbed him by the ear, speaking directly into it “Hoomen kee son, Hoomen kee wif. Hoomen die….” It then slammed Justin’s face down to the floor.

Justin screamed in pain as he held his face, his nose bloody and his tooth fallen. The centipede raised him up again and flung him away.

Justin's body stumbled all over the place as his blood dyed the green colored grasses red.

All Justin could think of now was stopping the Pain, his chest hurt, his stomach hurt…how could he fight back?!

The sound of bones breaking could be heard as a leg steeped on Justin’s left arm. “ahhh f*****g fuucck!!” Justin squeaked like a pig as he shook all over. Tears came falling uncontrollably from Justin’s eyes, the pain was overwhelming!

“eek eek eek” the centipede laughed in a very unusual manner as its eyes watched Justin crawl. This was revenge for its army, wife and son!

‘System, Summon the emperor's chain Justin said to the System. This bastard thought he had won. He, Justin, wasn’t going down without a fight!

Justin held the emperor ‘s day in with the only good hand he had now. He conjured every last ounce of energy he had and launched at the centipede, hoping for some meaningful attack.

The king centipede saw it coming and simply stepped to the side, dodging Justin’s attack. Then it delivered a huge blow to justin's back, breaking a few more bones on his body.

Justin screamed in agony as he was sent crashing to the floor again. ‘f**k System, administer my health potions!’ Justin ordered. His panic sensors were feeling extremely threatened. If he didn’t do something, he would be dead in a matter of moments!

*There are no available health potions*

‘Well then buy one!!’ His whole body was giving up. He had never been this close to death Before!

*So points not up to required number for health potion purchase*

“f**k you System, I really mea…aaaaahhh” the king delivered another devastating kick right on Justin’s face. His jaw was kicked out of position!

He struggled as he managed to get back on his knees…his handsome face was unrecognizable now. “i…I'll st *Cough* sshtill ffigh-” Before Justin could finish his words, the muscular hands of the centipede grabbed him by the throat.

“konsidere zis mercy” the centipede said staring deep into Justin's eyes. A snapping sound followed its words as it dropped the human it held and flew off into the horizon.

Justin's eyes were rolled up, his nexj bent to the side and his mouth still open. Clearly he was dead!
