Lucy thought she had married the man of her dreams. Daniel was handsome, wealthy, respected, and everything a woman could wish for. At least, that was what she believed when she walked down the aisle and promised to love him forever. She never imagined that the same man who held her hand on their wedding day would one day be the reason she was fighting for her life. Their marriage looked perfect from the outside. They lived in a beautiful home, attended family events together, and smiled for photographs like a couple with nothing to hide. But behind closed doors, things were different. Daniel slowly became distant. His phone was always locked, his calls were always private, and his excuses became more suspicious by the day. Whenever Lucy asked questions, he had one simple answer: “You think too much.” Maybe she did. Or maybe her heart was simply trying to tell her that something was terribly wrong. Then Lucy discovered a secret. A secret that could destroy her marriage. A secret that Daniel was willing to kill to protect. Before Lucy could expose what she had found, her life took a terrifying turn. She was betrayed by the one person she trusted more than anyone. Daniel made sure everyone believed she was dead. He mourned her in front of family and friends, shed tears at her funeral, and played the role of a heartbroken husband so perfectly that nobody questioned him. But there was one problem. Amara was not dead. She had been buried alive. Alone in the darkness, beneath the cold earth, Lucy screamed until her voice broke. She begged for help. She called Daniel's name, hoping that somehow the man she loved would return to save her. But he never came. That was the moment something inside her died—not her body, but the woman who had once trusted him without fear. Against every odd, Amara survived. When she finally escaped, she was no longer the same woman Daniel had buried. She was weak, frightened, and carrying wounds that would never disappear completely. But she was alive, and she had questions. Why did her husband want her dead? Who was the woman connected to his secret? Who helped Daniel? And why did it seem like someone else was desperate to keep Lucy's past buried along with her? Lucy could expose Daniel immediately, but she knows that returning from the dead will put her in even greater danger. So she makes a dangerous decision: she will stay hidden and watch. Daniel believes his secret is safe. He moves on with his life, enjoying the freedom he thought Lucy's death gave him. He has no idea that his wife is alive and watching from the shadows. Then strange things begin happening. A message appears on his phone from an unknown number. A photograph from his wedding mysteriously appears in his room. A familiar perfume fills an empty hallway. And one night, Daniel hears a voice he thought he would never hear again. “Daniel.” His blood runs cold. He turns around, but nobody is there. At first, he convinces himself that it is guilt playing tricks on his mind. After all, dead women do not send messages. Or do they? 😂 As Daniel's perfect life begins to fall apart, Lucy gets closer to the truth. But every answer leads to another secret. People she trusted begin acting strangely. Daniel's family seems to know more than they admit. The woman connected to his betrayal is hiding something. And someone has been watching Lucy since the day she escaped. Soon, Lucy realizes that her burial was not simply about a troubled marriage. There was a bigger plan behind it. A plan involving money, power, betrayal, and a secret that could destroy more than Daniel's reputation. But the closer Lucy gets to the truth, the more dangerous her revenge becomes. Daniel once thought burying his wife would solve all his problems. He was wrong. Because Lucy is no longer interested in being the obedient wife who forgives everything. She has learned that love without trust can become a prison, and the people closest to you can sometimes be the ones holding the shovel. Now she has to decide whether she will expose the man who betrayed her, uncover the person secretly controlling everything, or disappear forever and start a new life. But there is one thing she refuses to do. She refuses to become a victim again. Daniel buried his wife because he thought the grave would keep his secrets safe. He forgot one important thing. Some women do not stay buried. Lucy came back from the grave with scars on her body, fire in her heart, and a truth that could bring an entire family crashing down. And when Daniel finally comes face-to-face with the wife he believed he had buried alive, he will discover that death was never the punishment. Her survival is.

CHAPTER 1: THE WOMAN WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD.
Damian Cross was about to marry another woman when his dead wife walked into the church. For five years, he had lived with the belief that Lucy Cross was dead. He had watched her coffin being lowered into the ground. He had stood beside her grave while the priest said the final prayers. He had even thrown a handful of dirt onto the coffin with his own hands. He had cried that day. At least, he had thought he did. Now, as he stood at the altar in his black suit, Damian looked toward the church doors and felt the whole world stop. The woman standing there was wearing a simple black dress. Her hair was longer than he remembered. Her face was thinner. But those eyes... Those eyes were impossible to forget. Damian stopped breathing. Someone behind him whispered. Then another person gasped. The bride beside him turned slowly, confused by the sudden silence. “Damian?” she whispered. He didn't answer. He couldn't. The woman at the entrance took one slow step forward. Then another. The church became so quiet that Damian could hear the sound of her heels touching the marble floor. Tap. Tap. Tap. Every step brought her closer. Every step destroyed five years of lies. Someone dropped a phone. A woman near the front covered her mouth. “Is that...?” “It can't be.” “She's dead.” “I saw her funeral.” Damian's hands began to shake. Lucy stopped a few feet away from him. She looked directly into his eyes. There was no smile on her face. No tears. No fear. Only something cold that made his stomach twist. Then she spoke. “Sorry I'm late.” A shocked murmur moved through the church. Damian stared at her. His voice came out almost like a whisper. “Lucy?” She tilted her head slightly. “Yes.” His heart slammed against his chest. “No.” Lucy frowned. “No?” “You're dead.” For the first time, something changed in her eyes. Pain. It disappeared almost immediately. “You're right,” she said quietly. “I was.” The bride beside Damian stepped back. “What is going on?” Damian didn't look at her. His eyes stayed on Lucy. “Where have you been?” Lucy gave a small laugh. It wasn't a happy laugh. “Somewhere you couldn't find me.” Damian felt cold sweat run down his back. “That isn't possible.” “Neither is a dead woman walking into her husband's wedding.” Someone at the back of the church gasped again. The bride finally stepped away from Damian. “You told me she was dead!!.” Damian opened his mouth, but no words came. Lucy looked at the woman standing beside him. For a moment, her eyes moved over the expensive wedding dress, the diamond necklace, and the ring on her finger. Then she looked back at Damian. “So this is what you did after I died?” “Lucy, you don't understand.” “Then explain it.” “I thought you were dead.” “You didn't just think I was dead, Damian.” Her voice shook slightly. “You buried me.” The church went completely silent. Damian's face went pale. “I didn't bury you.” Lucy stared at him. “Then who did?” He had no answer. She stepped closer. “You looked for my body.” Damian swallowed. “I looked everywhere for you.” “No.” Her voice became colder. “You looked for my body.” She reached into her bag and pulled out a small photograph. She held it up. It showed an old cemetery. Damian recognized it immediately. His blood ran cold. His eyes moved to the grave in the picture. Lucy Cross. His wife's name. His hands curled into fists. “Where did you get that?” “Someone sent it to me.” “Who?” Lucy lowered the photograph. “Someone who knew what happened.” Damian looked around the church. Suddenly, every face seemed suspicious. His family. His friends. The people who had attended Lucy's funeral. The people who had cried beside her grave. How many of them knew? “How did you survive?” he asked. Lucy looked at him for several seconds. “I didn't.” Damian's brow tightened. “What?” “I died that night.” She touched her chest. “Something inside me died that night. The woman who trusted you died.” Damian stepped toward her. “Lucy, please.” She moved away. “Don't.” The pain in her voice was worse than anger. For five years, Damian had imagined what it would feel like if Lucy somehow came back. He had imagined hugging her. Apologizing. Telling her how much he missed her. But the woman standing before him wasn't the same Lucy he remembered. She looked at him as if he were a stranger. Or worse. As if he were the man who had destroyed her. “Who did this to you?” Damian asked. Lucy looked toward him. “You really want to know?” “Yes.” Her lips curved into a small, bitter smile. “Be careful what you ask for.” Before Damian could respond, the church doors opened again. A tall man walked inside. He was dressed in a dark suit, but unlike Damian, he looked completely calm. His dark hair was slightly messy, and his eyes immediately found Lucy. “Are you ready?” Lucy nodded. Damian's eyes narrowed. “Who is he?” The man walked toward Lucy. “My name is Lucien.” Damian stared at him. Lucy moved closer to Lucien. That simple movement made something inside Damian burn. “Lucien,” Damian repeated. “Yes.” “What are you doing with my wife?” Lucien looked at him. “She isn't your wife anymore.” Damian's jaw tightened. “You don't get to decide that.” Lucy looked between the two men. “Enough!.” Neither moved. Damian's eyes remained on Lucien. “How long have you known her?” Lucien smiled slightly. “Long enough.” That answer only made Damian more suspicious. He looked at Lucy again. “Are you with him?” Lucy didn't answer immediately. Then she held up her left hand. There was a ring on her finger. Damian's eyes dropped to it. His heart seemed to stop. It wasn't the ring he had given her. It was a different ring. A man's ring. Damian looked at Lucien. Then at Lucy. “You married him?” Lucy said nothing. Damian's voice broke. “Lucy... did you marry him?” She slowly turned toward the church doors. Lucien placed a hand lightly against her back. Damian watched the two of them walk away. His wedding guests stared. The woman he was supposed to marry was crying. The priest didn't know what to do. And Damian? He couldn't move. Five years ago, he had buried his wife. Today, she had walked back into his life. But she hadn't returned alone. She had returned with another man. And a ring that wasn't his. Not the organ. Not the whispers. Not even the priest standing three feet in front of him. There was only the woman standing at the entrance. Her. His fingers tightened around the edge of the altar. No. It wasn't possible. It couldn't be. The woman smiled. A small, almost polite smile. “Sorry I'm late.” Damian's face drained of color. The bride turned toward him. “Damian?” He didn't answer. He couldn't. Because five years ago, he had watched them lower his wife's coffin into the ground. He had stood beside her grave while rain soaked through his black suit. He had listened to the priest speak about eternal rest. He had gone home that night and destroyed every photograph of her. Or at least, he had tried. And now she was standing ten meters away from him. Alive. Lucy. His Lucy. Except she wasn't wearing the soft dresses he remembered. She wore a black silk gown that hugged her body, elegant and unforgiving. Her hair fell over one shoulder in dark waves, and there was no fear in her eyes. No tears. No trembling. Just cold, quiet amusement. Damian stared at her like a man looking at a ghost. "Lucy?"......
