"I don't think we should touch it Solar..." Alikai warned as the yellow Demon approached the strange black craggy line that seemed to be floating in mid air between two boulders. the crack had appeared while the two boys had been out hunting for cool rocks for Solaris's collection. Since Kai was going to be staying in his room the young golden Demon thought it only fitting they find a rock as red as Kais hair, or as black as his scales to remember the occasion. They hadn't been able to find one all morning and then they had stumbled upon this odd thing.
"Don't be an Egg Kai. its not dangerous! see, I can even touch it!" the Golden demon reached out and put his hand on the crack in the air, at first nothing happened then the oldest little demon looked back smugly at his friend, leaning most of his weight onto his hand. There was a sharp cracking sound and before either boy could react Solaris's hand went through the rapidly expanding crack that had gone to being only about and inch wide to being almost a foot wide and several feet tall. The young fire Demon yelled in panic as he lost his main support and fell sideways, his body disappearing into the hole, his scream slowly growing fainter as he fell.
"SOLAR!!" The young Hellborn rushed to the edge to catch sight of his friend, not realizing how delicate reality was, the moment he put his hands on the edge of the crack it quickly spread to the ground under him. His scream joined the other Demons as he too, fell into oblivion.
Darkness surrounded the two as they fell, both trying to flap their wings and regain some control but it was hard when they were tumbling head over heals through the air. The crack they had fallen through was no where to be seen, having sealed itself back up after the smallest Demon had fallen through. As they fell through the darkness spheres of light started to appear, at first off in the distance and then others that were closer. Kai passed within a few feet of one of the colorful spheres and he could of sworn he saw a house within the gently glowing blue bubble, twisting his body around when Solar suddenly screamed he watched in near horor as his new friend fell straight towards a glowing green bubble. He covered his eyes, expecting his friend to smash into the bubble, the scream stopped abruptly but Kai heard no splat. He peeked through his fingers only to scream as he himself smashed into the bubble only for his body to easily enter it and come out into a place that looked nothing like the one they had just been through.
Thick forests lay below him, the trees unlike either child had ever seen. there was a few small smoke trails rising from gaps in the canopy, a very large rock covered in black spots just past what looked to be a river. Solaris on his way to crash into a few of the tall trees, still screaming and trying to use his wings to fly. Neither boy had ever truely flown before, Solaris having relied on his homes low gravity and Kai having never been properly taught.
Crashing through the leaf covered was painful, what hurt even more however was when the two boys crashed through the branches that were thicker and less forgiving. They seemed to fall forever, their delicate wings managing to catch the air in a few places and slowing their decent before they hit the ground. Turning what could of been a deadly fall, into a very rough landing that resulted in the two Demon children with a few broken bones and a dislocated wing.
Kai groaned softly from his spot on the mossy floor, his vision was swimming and his head pounding. The demon attempted to move a little bit only to let out another miserable groan. Every part of him HURT. He slowly moved his head about despite the pain, trying to catch sight of his friend. "S-solar? Solar where are you?" The small Demon called out, unsure of what to expect, they had fallen a really long way... solar could be... he could....
A soft whimper escaped the little Demons body, big fat tears slipping free of his eyes as he tried to get up, calling out for his friend in fear. "Solar! Solar!!" Kai sobbed as the pain in his body greatly limited how much he could move, he had to find Solar, he had to make sure his friend wasn't... wasn't dead.
Just thinking the word had the little black scaled Demon crying out in distress, the louder sound traveling a much greater distance then his other cries had. It would draw both people and animals to his position but he didn't care about that at the moment, he just wanted to make sure his friend was okay. Nothing could describe the pure relief that flooded his small body when another distressed cry answered back to his own. Young Demons knew how to do this cry from birth, it was a call to others of their kind and when a young one called out it urged the older to answer it, it was an instinct that no Demon could ignore, no matter how hard they tried.
Kai let out the distressed sound again, trying to figure out where the other little demon was. His body was in far too much pain to get to its feet, he had however managed to roll over though that had hurt a LOT. Now being on his stomach didnt help at all, at least before he was able to see some of the sky and the world around him, now his face was up against the thick moss he had landed on. It was this position that stopped him from see the figure moving through the trees behind him.
Kai let out a loud panicked call when something grabbed his waist and ripped him from the ground, the little Demon shut his eyes tight and put his hands over his face as something much bigger then him handled his hurting body with little gentleness, it wasnt until he let out a mewl of pain that the creature handling him did become much gentler. It whispered soft unfamiliar words to him, shifting him from shoulder to shoulder. Kai finally opened his eyes and looked at the creature, it looked so strange to him. It had no horns to speak of, it had three colors to its eyes and it had no scales to speak of, not to mention it had covered itself in some kind of strange fabric, maybe to protect it's scaleless skin.
The creature set the young Demon into some kind of bag that had been strapped to its back a moment ago, there were a few things still inside it but Kai fit inside comfortably. The creature lifted the bag with the little Demon inside, it pulled a string and the top became tighter around the little Demons neck, it wasnt so tight that he couldnt breath but he also couldnt get out easily now. Once the bag was back on the creatures back it started walking again, heading down a small trail and taking the little Demon with him, and unbeknownst to the creature, away from Solaris.
