My Mermaid Tale

Hi i'm Nixie. My story begins now. it all started on my senior year in high school. RING!! Teacher: OK, class now remember to get those field trip forms signed by a parent. the class: yes Mrs. bae ( in annoyed tone) Nixie(me) : (talking to myself) sigh why do i even have to go on this stupid trip anyway.. its not like its going to be fun nor exciting. right. (i didn't realize moana was walking towards me) Moana (my friend and like only friend) moana: "Because it's time for you to stop being a loner nixie. what are you going to do when i go off to college next year? i'm your only friend and i worry about you. you're almost 18 girl. nixie: where'd you come from all of a sudden (i jerked up in surprise) moana: i teleported duh (as she winked) nixie: ha ha, very funny. but i'm for real... whats the point of me going? i said sadly. you're popular and have multiple friends and you wont have time to hang with me. i know you know what people say about me. regardless if you stand up for me, people still attack me verbally and tell you all the time to stop being friends with me. it's just going to be awful. moana: we will get to hang out boo i promise. as she holds out her pinky. (looking at me with puppy dog eye's) nixie: sigh, OK i guess i said as we pinky promised. moana: also you know who will be there. she said with a big smile on her face as mine turned bright red. nixie: ALEX!! i said as i hid my face in my hands . moana: yep and i heard he likes girls with brown eyes too she whispered   nixie: half the school has brown eyes moana i said with a -_- face. moana: true but your eyes are better then any of there's. nixie: sigh, you always butter me up before i end up giving in to you. you ass. moana: what can i say, i'm just that good boo. nixie: yeah,yeah. moana: yay we'er going to have fun you'll see. i can get you alone with Alex, so you can finally tell him how you fill. nixie: you will? moana: yes! girl just be confident an take charge of the things you want in life. after our talk those last words moana had said rang in my ear for the rest of the day and night. I tossed and turned all night replaying what she said. "take charge of things you want in life". take charge of what you want in life...hmmm "what do i want out of life"...i said in my head as i stepped out on my balcony to clear my thoughts. after a few mins of that i knew she was right. all this time I've been nothing but a shadow, invisible to alex did he even know about me? well aside from moana telling him about me. one of the most popular guys in school an i have to have a crush on him the most unpopular girl in school. the loner, the out cast.... if it weren't for moana, i would of committed suicide by now.
