It has been a tiring day, with one meeting after another. I have been managing the business operations for the past two years, but have never attended this many meetings. My jaw is getting tired, smiling and making pleasantries with the potential investors. My dad really wants to expand the business to other markets worldwide, and I didn’t want to disappoint him, so I’m pushing through.
We’re on our last meeting for the day, and my jaw clenched involuntarily when I saw who we were meeting this time. It’s Matteo’s father. I didn’t even know what his name was. He came with three other men in suits, outnumbering me and my dad.
