Next morning, when Jane woke up, her heart was not at all easy. IN fact the idea that Kendrick would have some unfinished business with her, just as Brad said, made her think all night long that maybe coming back to Anacortes is not the best idea she had. Well it was Samy’s idea, but she accepted it.
All the hatred she saw in Brad’s eye made her remember everything. Is she really safe here?
On top of her personal problems, she couldn’t stop from wondering if Frederick Pike was really gone or he was somewhere around, waiting for her. He used to tell her that she is like an open book for him. What if he knows that in the end she will come back to Anacortes?
