Chapter Twenty-Eight
Laura and Chris had made it back to the lab in record time, they gave everyone a quick rundown of what they found and what they thought. Chris had Alex pull up Matthews call log, his last call had been a few hours ago and had lasted about 10 minutes. Immediately after that the phone had been turned off, all they had to go on was the number. They tried to trace it but it came back as prepaid no name just where it was bought and paid for with cash. When they reviewed the security camera footage it just showed a nondescript male wearing a hat and sunglasses. It could have been anyone even William for all they knew, they could call the number but they needed time to formulate a plan. The other thing they’d noticed that was Matthew had left his car behind, but he could’ve walked or taken a taxi
