Dark Avenger.

Chapter 10: Mid Ranked Demon.

But Strangely, Even though We killed a lot of Zombies. My Level didn't increase even a Single Bit. Which is pretty weird. My Level should Increase a few. I look at Diablo and he was gritting his teeth.

"Snap... Master, We've been trick... That Zombies is not a Monster..."

Eh? Then...

"It's a real Corpse? You don't get any Soul from killing it?"

I asked. Diablo nodded. I see...

"It seems like we're up against another Soul Eater. This is pretty dangerous..."

I muttered. Diablo nodded. It seems like we both have the same idea. Ignoring everything and just keep moving forward.

Strange... Despite seeing a real Dead Human. I didn't feel any sympathy at all. I thought that they're monster. But they're real Human. And  yet, My brain is fine with that fact... Is there something wrong with me? Ah... It ain't a problem really...

Diablo and I eventually reach a bigger Room. It's Dark. We go inside that Dark room and close the door. Diablo is still looking damn fine in front of me. No hesitation whatsoever.

And suddenly, The Light turn on and there's a White Throne on top of a small platform. And on that Throne is a man. With short black hair, A Piercing on his Nose, Mouth and Tongue. Wearing a Lab Coat. Right behind him is a lot of Experimental Table. With Bloody Scalpel, Some sort of Creature living in a smaller tube with Orange Liquid. And more importantly... A Human Brain right beside it.

"Welcome. To my Laboratory."

He declare. He normal eyes to boot. Diablo chuckle. At that moment, I know  what we're up against and I'm ready to kill him.

"Kukuku... I never thought I would be an opponent of the Lower Ranking Demon."

Diablo muttered. As the highest Ranked Demon, He never face against someone as weak as this one. And the Weaker Demon only heard about the name of the Highest Demon.

Hearing Diablo taunt, The Demon was pretty pissed.

"Lower Ranking Demon you say? Kukuku... Kahakaha! I'm a Mid Ranked Demon! I'm stronger than most demon!"

He said. Diablo look at Me and not say anything. I let him do the thing he like now. Diablo smiled and vanished. He suddenly appear right in front of the Demon and grab him by the neck.

"What?!"

The Demon was panicking. Diablo power was so strong. He was grinning too. He pull the Demon up and choke him harder.

Diablo tone of voice turned really cold and creepy.

"Hey. Who send you here?"

Diablo asked. The Demon didn't know what to answer. Since he come to Human Realm by himself. And usually, It's pretty hard to do. The Demon didn't answer that question.

So Diablo choke him harder.

"I see... So you come here by yourself huh... Kukuku... It's a mistake that you made...."

Diablo turn into his Demon Form. His Hand is now a Black Claw. His feet is now covered by a Black Armor.

"You messed up. Fighting against me. The Black Demon."

Diablo stated. He smiled and his Left Claws is going toward the face of the Demon. The Demon is screaming in fear. Seeing Diablo Claw is coming closer and closer.

I step in and said.

"Diablo, Stop  for a bit. Let me play with him."

I said. It's a perfect time for me to try my technique. Diablo nodded and he cut the Throat of the Demon. From the Inside. He now can't let out any noises.

He cut his His Elbows and Knees. Just really making sure he can't move. Diablo throw him toward me. The Demon try to run away by letting out his wings.

But Diablo also stop the function of his wings. Really merciless of Diablo. Seeing the Human on the back still have their Soul. They're dead. But their Soul is still within. He was thinking to eat it on his own but, He need to ask for my permission.

While I. Walk closer to the Demon. I sheathe my sword back and throw it on the ground for the time being. The Demon is standing on his Knees. I take my Stance and charged toward him. I pushed him down. I can hear a cracking sound from the Impact that I make.

And then, I grab his Lab coat and Throw him face first to the Ground. And while his face is planted in the floor, I kick the base of the neck and he get back out with a lot of pain.

Like a snake Slithering in. I Python Hold him and choke him. After he is losing his consciousness. I let him go and throw him to the back. The back of his head hit the ground first.

I grab his collar and drag him on the ground. Slam the top of his head on the Wall and shattering his skull. I throw him back toward my sword and I run back toward my sword.

I grab it and draw it. I hold the head of the Demon with my Right food and planted my Left food back. I pull my sword back up with both hands and swing it down completely. It was cut cleanly.

I swing my sword and clean the blood off of it. I sheathe it back and then Diablo jumped toward me with his Butler form. Kneeling and putting his right hand on his chest.

"Next Order Master."

Diablo asked.

"Search for all the Treasure."

"Acknowledge."

Diablo vanished after the Black Mist swallow him. Now. I'm alone in this laboratory. I go toward the back and I was feeling nothing. No upset feeling or scared feeling.

I touch the glass Tube and muttered this.

"Poor soul..."

Because their soul is still there, I was thinking to use their soul as a food for Diablo or Sacrifice to summon another being.

But, They're just a poor human. So, I release their soul away. The way I release their soul is just say my prayer. Letting go of the Poor Soul and hope that someday. They get Salvation.

"Sad that, The Zombies can't get their salvation because their Soul is eaten by Demon."

I muttered. I walk toward the Mid Rank Demon. And if I'm not mistaken. Demon Soul worth a lot. 1 Lower Ranked Demon Soul worth 10. 1 Mid Ranked is 50 Soul and 1 High Ranked Demon worth 500. And The Highest Ranked Demon is 1000.

Ah, Let's not think about this soul... Let's go search for the Treasure along with Diablo.
