Unwanted Discovery

Aria's POV I barely ate anything after what Adrian had said. We returned to the company, and everyone got busy with work. I returned to Adrian's apartment alone with his driver since he had a late-night business meeting.I entered our apartment, and just then, I received a text from Adrian. I've kept some food in the freezer for you. I chuckled as I looked at it. The truth was, I didn't know how to cook, so Adrian did most of the cooking. I kicked off my heels and padded my bare feet across the tiles as I made my way to the fridge. Even though my grandfather and I had left the US when I was six years old, I only got to spend three more years with him before he passed away, leaving me all alone. I sighed, put the food on the stove, and stirred it. When the food was well cooked, I walked into the living room, grabbed a drink from the fridge, and slouched onto the couch, switching on the TV. I shoved some food down my throat before picking up my phone and dialing a number. "What?" the person on the other line asked, annoyance clear in his voice. "Umm, actually, Adrian said we'll be going to meet his family tomorrow. I can't seem to pull out of this without being suspicious," I said, clearly scared of getting myself into trouble. "You're not supposed to let the family see you, Aria. Anything but that, and you wouldn't be able to leave the country. We can fool Adrian, but not the whole family. Do not let any of them see you." He warned me before adding, "Be quick with the last task so that you can leave peacefully. Otherwise, we're going to leave you there to bear the brunt." I lowered the phone from my ear, sighing deeply. I discarded the used utensils in the sink and entered Adrian's study. If there was one thing I believed, then it was that Adrian was a smart man. He always kept the products that would be released the following year with himself and his assistant, and they would definitely be on his laptop. Quickly powering it on, I realized there was a password on it. "What could it even be?" I muttered, entering his phone password, but access was denied. I quickly punched in my birthday, but access was still denied, and I bit my lip. I kept trying, punching in every other password I knew, but I still couldn't get access. "Kurwa!" I cursed in Polish, brushing a hand through my hair. Just then, the door to the study opened and Adrian entered and staring at me. I froze. "I—uh... my laptop died, and I thought of using yours to finish my work," I lied. But unlike always, when Adrian would have simply given me the password, he didn't say anything. He just hummed. I stood up from the chair, wrapped my arms around his neck, and stood on my tiptoes as I kissed him lightly. I couldn't get enough of Adrian, and the thought of leaving next week made my heart ache. He pulled back slightly, pecking my lips. "I'll freshen up first," he muttered against my lips. I nodded before he stepped out. I leaned against the door, closing my eyes as my eyes teared up. I could see the way Adrian trusted me, and the thought of breaking his trust hurt even more. After calming down, I got out of the study and entered the room, where I found Adrian out of the shower with a towel draped around his waist. His well-toned body rippled when he moved his muscular hand to wipe his hair. His biceps stretched beneath his movements, and I bit my lip. Adrian held my gaze before pulling out the towel, revealing his thick c**k as it sprang forward and I swallowed, wondering how it would taste in my mouth. Quickly shaking my head, I snatched a bathrobe from the closet and scurried into the bathroom, hearing Adrian chuckle behind me. I stood before the mirror, my face red as I chided myself, when I noticed how completely different I looked from how I actually looked. I naturally had black hair, but my disguise consisted of dyed blonde hair with a mole stitched onto my lower-left jaw. The agency had said it was necessary in order to change my appearance. I sighed, stripping off my clothes. I re-entered the room to find Adrian on his phone, and I sat before the mirror, applying my evening facial oil. "I never noticed it before, but your hair color looks lighter than it did about a week ago." Adrian's voice sounded from the bed, and I bit my lip, looking in the mirror to find him staring at me. Why was this man so observant?!
