Prologue
I sigh and glance at my watch. 30 minutes more of this torture. If it wasn't of my father's and his company's reputation in this university, I wouldn't have come here to waste my time. I would do so many better things right now than this stupid seminar, like f*****g someone.
I look tiredly at my secretary, he nods at me to hang on. Honestly, he annoys the s**t out of me. Can't he just get me out of this by faking a urgent business call or something? I wish I had a female secretary, they are more smarter and hotter too. Well, that is the reason I don't though, I can't be caught f*****g my secretary. It's too much of a risk for a small f**k.
The time rolls by and finally after a long ass thank you speech does the seminar end and the auditorium starts filing out. I fake some smiles at the other guests and flee out with my secretary following.
"I want to fire you." I huff without glancing at him.
He doesn't reply because he knows that would make this worse. He knows I won't fire him, somehow he has proved to be a great secretary. It's really hard to impress me, so that's an achievement. On top of that his 15 months of service has proved him to be a loyal one.
I walk to my car and the bodyguard opens the door for me. I hear a thud from behind and catch Aiden say, “It’s okay. It's not your fault."
I frown and look back at him. Aiden is crouching down to pick up his notepad but that doesn't affect me. The person crouching in front of him does. I never thought I would say this but I stop breathing, literally. I look at the girl in front of Aiden as she picks up a sheet of paper in the mess that's fallen at her feet. Scribbling something hastily she shows it to him, ‘I'm sorry’.
I stare at her dark brown eyes, looking anxious. Her soft pink lips as she bites onto it. Her brunette hair flowing freely due to the wind. I watch as she nervously tucks one strand behind her ear. She shakes her head and shows the paper to him again.
"It's really fine. Don't worry, it happens." Aiden smiles at her and gets up.
She sighs and smiles back. That smile. So innocent and unintentionally beautiful. I never knew that was my type.
I continue staring at her as she starts grabbing her things off the ground, frowning and chewing at her lips.
"Boss let's go I-" I don't register his voice until he speaks again. “Boss?"
I blink and look at Aiden. “Do you see that girl?"
He looks back at her again and nods. ”I want her. Find out about her and get back to me. Don't show your face unless you have her name."
I glance at her one last time as she gets up with her things and walks away.
I want her and I'll have her, at whatever cost.
