I look over the kids’ work as I walk around the class. They quietly write in their notebooks. I check the time and walk back to the front of the class. The kids look at me and listen patiently.
“We will have lunch now. You guys will come back and continue your work, okay?” I say smiling at them.
They hurriedly pack their things and form a line. I wait for someone to come and fetch them. I smile when I see Conan at the door but the smile dies at the sight of Kai right behind them.
