Hayley's pov.
“I don't know why she did it... but maybe I look like an Alpha, right?" he said, sounding a bit funny to me. I couldn't help but laugh at every word she let out.
“Come on, let me get my new bride home. Enough with the entire chit chats noe, or don't you think?!” He demanded, making me anxious.
We headed out of the building, and just as he opened the door of his car for me to climb into, my phone rang out. It was then that I realized that I still had my phone with me.
Seeing that it was my father, I picked up the phone. I didn't want him to get furious at me. The second I placed the phone in my ear, I couldn't help but get stunned at his sudden outburst.
“Get back home, now!!!!” He ended the call before I could say a word, and it meant one thing: Jeff had met him and said things to him.
“Are you okay?” Vincent questioned me as he stared at me in worry.
“Yeah, yeah!” I stuttered, getting back to my senses. “I need to head back home right now, Vincent... I'll meet up with you soon!” I noted and immediately rammed out of the spot where we stood.
I was going to head over to the highway to stop a cab and head back home, but Vincent's sudden grip stopped me right on track.
“Where are you heading? Is something wrong? I can give you a ride if you want. You are mine, and anything I have is yours!” He notified me, but at this point, it was best if I did it alone.
There was no way I would let him go back to meet my father when he was in a bad mood.
“I'm sorry, Vincent, but I need to go meet my father!” I revealed, my tone tinged with urgency.
“Then why don't I come with you?” He suggested it with a happy smile on his face.
“No, Vincent… It's too dangerous for now; maybe next time, please!” I pulled my hand from his grip, and before he could say a single word to me, I had already run towards the highway and stopped a cab.
I got into it and gave the driver my destination; he didn't hesitate to zoom out of sight.
“I'm sorry, Vincent, but it isn't time yet!” I whispered to myself as I couldn't help but recall the sadness in his face, knowing I was leaving without him.
“We have arrived!” The driver's voice cut through my thoughts, making me lift my head. I didn't know we had gotten to my house.
Without hesitation, I climbed out of the car, paid him, and ran into the compound. The second I stepped into the house, I was met with the scary glare of my father on me.
And even worse, Camilla, my stepmother, and Jeff were seated in the living room with my father.
“Father you…” I was going to say, but before I could utter a single word, he cut in bluntly.
“Who was the poverty-stricken fellow you were with at the registry today, Hayley?” He asked, glaring at me nonstop.
I knew Jeff had told him. I flashed him a furious gaze before turning back to my father.
“He is my husband, Father!” I responded boldly, dog-minding what would happen to me.
“Your husband? You've grown so bold now, Hayley! How much of a pain in the ass could you be?” My stepmother scoffed as she chipped in with disdain in her tone.
“I'm not a pain, Rebecca!” I asserted stubbornly, my voice pretty audible.
“How dare you disrespect my wife, Hayley?” My father growled, hitting his walking stick to the ground.
“First you run away from your wedding, and all you do is get married to a total stranger you know nothing about? How much of a slut could you be, Hayley?” His voice resonated with deep hatred as he spoke to me.
“I knew I shouldn't have had you! You've always been a shame to me and the blue clan pack!” He added furiously.
“Father I…” My voice choked in my throat at this moment, restricting me from defending myself. All I've ever wanted was for him to love me like he loved Camilla, but that was never possible.
“Trying to apologize?" Camilla's voice boomed with malice in the living room, drawing my attention towards her as I stood before them.
“I can't believe you married a stranger, Hayley... You totally disgust me right now!” She rolled her eyes as she folded her arms across her chest.
“Disgust? Speaking of disgust... I should be the one disgusted by you, a stranger, you say.” My fist clenched as I glared at her.
“At least I married a stranger rather than having an affair with my foster sister's fiance on her wedding day, in the same hotel!” I revealed, making Camilla's eyes widen with shock.
It was obvious she was now aware that I had caught them. Because she wanted me to stop talking, she stood to her feet and stormed towards me.
“Shut your hole!” She slapped me so harshly across my cheeks, making me cradle my face immediately.
“You are nothing but a weak Omega... Do you get that!?” Camilla yelled at the top of her voice, making me more furious.
I couldn't hold back my rage; I had to show her that it was wrong to mess with me. Without a second thought, I slapped her back on her face, pretty harder than she did, making her stumble to the ground with a painful cry escaping her lips.
“Never ever lay your filthy hands on me again!” I warned harshly.
“Stop it this minute, Hayley!” My father ordered, acting like he didn't see Camilla slap me. My stepmother walked up to her and helped her up from the ground.
“I'm sorry, Father!” I bowed my head and apologized, but it wasn't enough.
“Your apology won't do me any good, Hayley. You must end the marriage with the stranger you just met.” He declared this, making me lift my head in his direction.
“What? I….I can't do that, father!” I explained briefly, my heart racing at this point.
“I'm not giving you an option, Hayley; it's an order. End the marriage with him and marry Jeff! That's the order!” My father declared, making me burst out.
“You don't know what you are doing, father! Jeff and Camilla are up to no good! The same Jeff you asked that I marry wants to take over the Blue Clan Pack! He wants to take over your company, too! "Before I could finish speaking, Jeff stood with rage and charged towards me.
“Be quiet, Hayley!” He was going to slap me too, but just as he got closer to me, closer to hitting me on the face, Vincent's voice resonated from behind, bringing an end to the impending hot from Jeff.
“No one dares to lay a finger on my Luna!” With so much authority, he walked towards me and had his arms wrapped around my shoulders.
“It's him! He should leave!” Jeff took three steps backwards as he yelled. It was obvious he was scared of Vincent now.
“Who the hell are you to walk into my house without my permission? Don't you know you can be killed for that?” My father snapped as he stood to his feet.
I tried to pull myself out of Vincent's grip, but he held me back as he smiled like nothing was happening.
“Isn't it obvious who I am? I am Hayley's new husband, who wouldn't sleep with her foster sister's fiance to be rich!” He taunted Camilla and Jeff before everyone.
“I see, I was thinking Hayley married a stranger, not knowing you were a fool too! A poor, wretched man who wants my pack! You won't get it; now leave!” My father commanded, and with Vincent's smile turning into a frown, he responded bluntly.
“No, I won't!” He had so much boldness, which shocked me.
“How dare you try to...” Before my father could finish venting his fury, the most shocking statement echoed in the living room.
“Alpha Vincent Miller... You are wanted at the pack immediately!”
“He's Alpha?” My eyes bulged out swiftly as I turned to look at him.
