The water kept still, then the tide rose again and again, it kept still once more and the Waves of the sea flapped about the beach sand. Jamal arose from the deepest part of the sea, and he came out to Land his fish tail still on him, he twitched the Pendant on his neck and suddenly the fishtail became legs. At first, it was difficult for him to walk with those legs but after few moments of practice, he caught on. Another issue worried him, he was completely naked and the people on the beach were clothed. He walked briskly into one of the buildings he saw, picked a trouser and a white Tee shirt (of which he noticed many of the Men were wearing), then he cat walked back to the beach Majestically loosening his hair and letting it fall off his shoulders. He had a stone white skin texture, bulgy eyes, pointed nose and full round lips. His hair was also white in color and it was long with curls. Every Lady present at the beach at that time were swept off their feet by mere looking at him, some started swooning around him while others tried to overlook the Prince Charming. After few hours, he stood up from the Hammock he laid on at the beach and moved out, finding his way into the city. Some Ladies chased after him asking for an Autograph (mistaking him for a Film Celebrity) which he rejected but agreed to take pictures anyways because that was new to him and sounded like fun…………. Cara: (yawned) Mummy, this story is Interesting but I think am sleepy Norah: okay sweetie, I think I’ll let you go this night but I still have a lot of stories yet untold which will be unfolded every night okay sweetie? Cara: okay mummy, goodnight, I love you Norah: goodnight sweetheart, love you more (kissed Cara on her forehead) Norah was a single mother; she got pregnant at her first year in College. She had to drop out to care for the Pregnancy as her Mother advised. Bruno her boyfriend broke up with her and relocated to Michigan after he found out about the Pregnancy. During her period of nine months, her Parents were there for her and helped her with everything she needed till she gave birth to her daughter. Norah resumed school, she read Fashion designing and Interior decorations and she graduated after five years. She lived with her Parents at Florida, her Dad owned a Shoe Company and her Mom was a Designer too. Norah graduated and got a Job at her Dad’s company, after some years, she established her own Fashion company for clothing designs. Norah continued to stay with her Parents even after giving birth to her Daughter Caramel because she wanted her daughter to grow up with a family and she knew she couldn’t train the Child all by herself. Cara grew up with her Mom and her Grandparents and she was a happy child. She always had more than enough while growing up and everything she owned were unique. Norah took it upon herself to tell Cara bedtime stories every night, she started one particular story which erupted from her imaginations and she vowed to give it an ending. Norah was a real Boss lady but due to the heart break she suffered at Twenty (unknown to her, it wasn’t as she thought), she built a wall of protection around her Emotions, shutting Love out completely. The next morning, Norah left the house very early for a meeting with her clients at the company. Grandma Beatrice prepared Caramel and the two joined the Chauffer at the Garage so they could head to school. Beatrice was very over protective of her Ten years old Granddaughter, when they got to school, she didn’t allow any of the Teachers to take her Granddaughter away from her instead she personally took her Grandchild to her class, kissed her Goodbye and promised to pick her after school before leaving. “BEAUTY WORLD” Norah got to the office on time and her secretary Miss Trudy had already set up the Conference hall for the Meeting. The Clients arrived after few minutes and the meeting commenced and lasted for two hours. Refreshments were distributed when the meeting came to an end. Mr Dony, one of the clients stayed back on grounds of a private discussion which Norah reluctantly gave her consent too. Dony: So how are you doing Miss Norah? Norah: I’m very fine thank you Mr Dony. So, what else do you need, I don’t mean to be rude, I have already filled the forms, I also signed the Textile Contract with you, I’m sure Trudy already briefed you on everything you need to know so I’m utterly confused as to what you want Dony: you can call me Donald, Dony for short. The reason I’m here is far from Work, I told you I wanted us to have a private conversation and not a Seminar Norah: you are driving me crazy, can you get straight to the point and stop beating about the bush? Dony: Okay. I want to know more about you, I mean your Personal life, love life if possible? Norah: I’m sorry but I don’t think that’s necessary, I don’t mix business with pleasure. Please can you leave now? Dony: but am not asking for too much, I just want to know you better Norah: I get you Sir but I don’t want to grant your request, I guess I have rights to make my decision Dony: Okay, let’s do Dinner, are you okay with that? Norah: I’m not interested, you have overstayed your welcome, please leave Dony: I understand, I’ll take my leave now, thanks for your time anyways Donald left the Office immediately and Norah sighed, she picked up her phone to check the time and it was Three O’clock in the Afternoon Norah: Ohh God, Cara should’ve dismissed by now, I totally forgot to go pick her from school (her phone rang and she picked the call) Beatrice: Sweetie, are you at the Office now? Norah: yes Mum, but am about to go get Caramel from school, any problem? Beatrice: I’ll be with you in a minute, don’t leave the Office okay? Norah: huh? How can that even be possible (the call ended) what the heck!!! how could Mom cut the call on me (there was a knock on the Door) come in! Trudy: Ma’am, your Mom and your Daughter are here to see you Norah: Goodness gracious, are you for real? Caramel: Mummy (she ran to her Mother and hugged her) I love you Mom, I missed you Norah: (gave Cara a peck on the forehead) I love you more my Darling. How are you? How was school today? Have you eaten Lunch? Caramel: calm down Mom one at a time, I am very fine, school was fun today I came out first in test of Algebra, and I ate lunch at school Norah: I’m proud of you Sweetie, so what did you have for Lunch? Beatrice: you seem to forget me whenever your bundle of joy is with you right? Norah: (smiled at her Mom) No Mommy, don’t say that, how can you even think like that, Cara is our bundle of joy and I can never forget you Mom, I love you. Beatrice: (smiled) I love you more Sweetheart. I have to take my leave now okay? I need to cook for your Dad, see you two at home Norah: Huh? But you just arrived, the Chef can make food for Dad and besides Dad will be at the Company now so why the rush? Beatrice: I never planned on coming to stay Love, when I picked Cara from school she wanted to see you so I brought her here, I want to rush home and prepare your Dad’s favorite then I’ll take it to him at the company, they are working on a new design and he will be back late Norah: (sighed) okay Mummy, see you at home then, Bye mum Caramel: bye Grandma, I love you very much, see you at home Beatrice: (smiled) I love you more baby Cara, don’t you ever forget that. Bye Norah, see you two tonight (she left) Norah: (smiled at her daughter) so, was the test really difficult, I’m sure it was super easy for my Baby and you got a prize again huh? Caramel: it was a little bit difficult but not something I can’t deal with, I solved all the questions correctly and lastly, (smiled) you have to guess mom Norah: but you know am not good at guessing my love. Okay, I’ll try, you got another big teddy bear Caramel: no that’s not it Mom, you got to think harder hmm? Norah: you got a movie ticket, wait did you win a Lottery? Caramel: (chuckled) far from that Mom. Okay listen I’ll tell you, Mom? I got a promotion Norah: you got a what!!! Congratulations Darling, I Love you so so much my Baby, did you tell your Grandma? Caramel: umm nope, I decided that I’ll tell her at home when Grandpa comes home you know Norah: Okay. (Her Tummy rumbled) I think the worms in my tummy are hungry, I’ll ask Trudy to get me something to eat or……………….. Caramel: are you thinking what I’m thinking right now Mom? Norah: I guess so Love, let’s go have Lunch at Oceana, what do you say? Caramel: Yay!!! I would love to Norah: (packed her things inside her blue Chanel Bag and stood up) okay Sweetie, let’s go now. Caramel held Norah’s hand and they left the office. Norah asked Trudy to approve the contracts on her Table and take her leave, and then she left for the garage with her daughter. They got to Oceana Restaurant which was one hour drive away from the company. Trudy already booked a reservation for them so they went to the VIP Suite immediately. The waitress came into the suite and handed the menu over to them, Cara picked Butter sandwich and Choco drink while Norah ordered Rice and Roasted chicken. After Lunch, they stayed back for some time for their meal to digest and Cara wanted Cheese cake for Dessert. Caramel: Mom? Where did Jamal come from? Does it mean that he is a Merman? Where did he go next when he left the Beach? Norah: Sweetie, Jamal is a merman and he lives under the sea. He left for his house from the Beach Caramel: his house? But you just said he lives underwater, now I’m quite confused Mom Norah: don’t be confused Love, okay let’s get on with it “BACK TO THE STORY” Jamal was the Prince of the water kingdom. He was tired of staying underwater and he was always curious as to what happened on Land ever since he was a little boy but his Parents gave him a lot of restrictions due to his status as Royalty. Many people from his kingdom travelled to land, some even lived there and had a lot of business going on. Jamal grew up lonely and depressed as he was the only Child and he was always locked up at the Palace. When he grew up, he began to cause commotion and demanded to be set free, his Parents tried their best to convince him to stay and rule the Kingdom when his father dies all to no avail, the sea Goddess allowed him to go, she gave him a pendant to enable him transform into a full-fledged human being when he goes to Land. But he was given a punishment, his action had a repercussion. Every Merman was entitled to a mate underwater, the merman is expected to inflict a mate mark(which comes in different colors) on his mate mermaid, Jamal hadn’t discovered his mate yet because he never thought about it, it was the least of his problems, his thoughts were always concerning leaving the sea for land. The sea goddess cursed him that he will no longer have a water mate but she will be a Human and she will be very hard to find, she cursed him again that he will find his mate when he clocked two hundred years. A merman’s estimated time on earth was three hundred years. He agreed to all this and finally left the water although he promised to come back after he was done exploring the Human world. Jamal had clocked one hundred and ninety years old already staying on land. One day, he came across a very busy road but as he tried to cross, he was hit by a Car. A lady came out of the car panicking, with the help of a passerby, Jamal was put into the lady’s car and she sped off immediately. They arrived at a white Duplex and the Gate keeper helped the Lady carry Jamal upstairs to her room. She already called her Doctor on steering to come over to her house and after few minutes Doctor Samuel arrived. Jamal wasn’t hurt anywhere but he used his powers to inflict bruises all over his two arms and one side of his legs so he wouldn’t look suspicious, the Doctor treated the wounds and placed him on a three days Drip, the lady gave the Doctor a cheque and thanked him for coming then he left. Jamal pretended to be asleep so the lady went down stairs to prepare something with the help of her chef. The meal was ready and when the lady came back to the Room, Jamal was wide awake and staring at ceiling Lady: (smiled) and what are you staring at Mr, huh? Jamal: where am I please? I think am lost, how did I get to this place? Lady: I’ll tell you but please you have to relax. I couldn’t concentrate at the Lecture hall due to my Mom’s death and my Grandma’s condition so I left college for home, driving speedily on the highway my car crashed into you; though basically you weren’t looking, then you fell unconscious and I brought you home and called my doctor who treated you and placed you on drip for three days before he left. Jamal: whoa!!! Okay, but you shouldn’t be driving speedily on the highway. I’m sure you hit me so you can confine me in this God forsaken place and maybe take advantage of me huh? You even brought poison to feed me with so you can finally get rid of me right? Lady: I think you’ve lost your mind completely, why would I even think of bringing you to my house to kill you or moreover take advantage of you (chuckled) maybe you are indeed crazy Jamal: why wouldn’t you want to take advantage of a prince charming like me huh? You know, where I come from girls are always at my beck and call and I see you as one of them (smirked) Lady: (coughed) you are insane you Asshole. You know, I wouldn’t mind if you starve, ( she thrashed the food into the Bin) you can go to hell and burn to ashes for all I care and make sure you send my greetings to Mr Devil (Grinned)just so you know, you are only allowed in my house for three days, when you are done with your drip then you can get out to wherever you came from, I’m only allowing you here because I am responsible for you till you finish your treatment, I hope you get that into your thick skull (she hissed and left the room) Jamal: (smiled) I think I like her, I just have to find a way to get her to allow me stay till I locate my Wealth Demon and get my Land riches.
