Book 1 Pov/Introduction Luci I knew there was something strange going on with my new boss and at the law firm but I would’ve never expected it to turn it out like it did! It was completely otherworldly! I knew stuff like this existed but I had never really had solid confirmation until I started working for Declan… He changed everything for me and honestly it was the best thing anyone could have ever given me… he gave me challenge, he gsve me structure.. security… he gsve me love and then he gave me bliss… he rewarded l me by giving me… my freedom… Pov/introduction Declan I spent years building up appearance’s at the firm, ensuring that everyone possessed some kind of complimenting physical ability for the public and I tried like hell to make sure there were never any human’s working for me… but then I met Luci… she was the public image i was missing. She was sweet, devoted and charismatic and that’s what I needed, not to mention she had such a beautiful smile… it was perfect for all of the client’s we had frequenting the office and a subtle but noticeable difference to the idiots that couldn’t seem to act natural while working! My kind tends to forget that acting natural doesn’t mean freezing like a f*****g statue and acting suspicious when a human comes in for legal advice… Luci was a marvelous addition and the only problem was keeping her safe and the fact that I had no idea how much she would mean to me… what I would do for her… what I was willing to sacrifice… how much I would truly love her… she became my strength and in turn i gave her protection… love without condition’s…. and my eternal devotion… Pov Luci- I was always a quiet girl… I never really flourished well in overpopulated or crowded areas so working for Declan at his law firm practice was perfect! I was really good a book keeping, typing and organizing and I was certain I could be confident when answering his calls and I did enjoy working for him a few summers back. You see Declan and I have known of each other since middle school, his father frequently did business consulting with my father and they would often chat about us amongst other. Although Declan and i hadn’t officially met until I applied for this job and it was father that brought it to our attention. I hated that my father would often try to use his reputation to get me accepted into elite profession’s or just fancy places in general. I wasn’t complaining entirely but i really enjoyed being challenged and the opportunity to earn my achievements and although my family knew Drclan and his father i was determined to make my own name and show some separation from my father’s reputation. I didn’t want to be privileged and favorable by associations. I was happy when I noticed that maybe Declan felt the same way in sense, he ran a tight ship but evidently different from his father.
