“You wouldn’t dare.” Ted’s eyes darted from the knifepoint to the remaining Poly, wondering if it could incapacitate Suvi before she struck. He wasn’t at all sure it could. Her high laughter sounded almost insane. “Try me. I have absolutely nothing to lose. Do you think I will wait around until the other one returns?” The door quivered as someone knocked, quite hard. “Room service,” a voice added cheerily. Suvi gestured with the knife, very close to Ted’s larynx. He shuddered and spoke. “You have the wrong room. I didn’t order anything.” “Yes you did. One dinner with all the trimmings coming up.” The door flew open, revealing a man disguised by a dark balaclava, standing behind a metal trolley.
