THE FIRST ARRIVALS

Nathaly's POV Wait just a second, it's five in the morning, I haven't closed my eyes, not even for five tiny minutes, and Hannah tells me we already have guests arriving. The world wants to put my endurance to the test, and I won't fail it, no Universe, I will be okay, everything is just fine, I have to breath and get ready to meet them in less than five minutes. "How long have they been waiting Hannah?", I said while I cleaned the melted mascara from my eyes and put a new layer of light make up on, just the necessary to hide my eyebags and black circles around my dark brown eyes. "They have been here for about... five minutes, but I told them to please hold on for about ten minutes so I could get you to take them to their rooms, since that is what you told me to do yesterday miss", she is not to blame of anything I told every member of the homecoming team that if Argent Moon had arrived they should tell me or one of my family members to welcome them and personally take them to their rooms. "What about my mom, dad, my brother and Jainny?" we were runnning against the time, and I was almost ready, I had just finished arranging my waist long hair in a perfectly done bun and may make up was almost ready, I was just missing my lipstick. "All of them requested not to be interrupted unless it was a life or dead situation, before eight in the morning" great then the tour around the packhouse guest zone was all up to me. I had finished putting my red lipstick on, dusting my white suit with tiny black strips, and had put on a black blouse with a red silk scarf inside the suit's jacket. "We shouldn't keep our guests waiting, lets make a run for it" I smiled at Hannah as we started to make our way towards the huge entrance hall that wasn't too far away from my studio, otherwise it would have been a nightmare deal with the time. The hall had been adapted to act as a waiting room for our guests until they could be attended by their respective guide. When we entered the room, I saw three tall men, two of them specially imponent, the other one was someone you could lose anywhere, certainly an omega. They all turned to greet my entrance while Hannah said that I was the one, in charge of their whole visit to Silver Crimson. Then I introduced myself, "Good morning gentlemen, my name is Nathaly Everain. Feel free to call me Nathaly, I am the youngest daughter of Alpha Peter and Luna Asil, I am in charge of everything that concerns your visit, so if there is anything that I can help you with please don't hesitate to let me know. I excuse myself for the delay you had to endure when you arrived. To ensure that we can give you the best experience you can get from the Silver Crimson Pack I would like you to introduce yourselves to me". All the time, I had to smile politely and kindly to remind them of the legendary hospitality my pack had always shown to their guests, even if they were once the worst enemies, just as in this specific case. There was about a minute of complete silence, when I could notice that something was off about the group, and when I counted them I figured it out, there were two people missing, and for the lost look on the wolves' faces, one of them clearly was the Alpha. When I was about to voice my question about the missing members of the party, one of them approached two steps towards me, obviously taller than me, and introduced himself as Axel the Beta from Argent Moon. He had deep green eyes, and straight black hair. All three of them had their hair styled in an elegant way. The next man was the Gamma. His name was Darrin, he had cold grey eyes, and had blonde curly hair. Finally, I was right. The one that seemed the youngest of the party was an omega called Dereck who had honey brown eyes and dark brown hair. Apparently he had been brought to help the Alpha with the internal affairs that could be present during their visit. A moment after Dereck had finished, a tall, nicely built man entered the room from one of the lateral corridors. "Well, well, well... What do we have here? I am afraid we haven't been properly introduced miss" He was definitely the Alpha. He kept his eyes on me except for the last part when he sent a deadly glare to his Beta, who immediately answered "This is Miss Nathaly, she is the one in charge of our visit to Silver Crimson, I understand she is the youngest of the Everain family". The Alpha had an unreadable expression on his face that didn't last long enough for me to comprehend, which was replaced by a smirk on his face as he introduced himself "Then Miss Nathaly Everain, I am the Alpha of the Argent Moon Pack, my name is Edward Freil, and I am truly charmed to meet you" he took my hand in his, leand in and gave it a gentle kiss, without getting his dark blue eyes off me, after that he carelessly tried to tame his slightly curled light brown hair which I assumed was on purpose messy. I could feel how his eyes ran all over me like analyzing every single part of me. Surprisingly, uncomfortable wouldn't be the word I'd use to describe the moment. It would be more awkward, because of the people that were around. After a few brief moments that felt like hours, I started showing them the zone where they would be staying. I explained that the Alpha would be on the upper floor, the Beta and the Gamma would be staying on the second floor and the omega had a room on the first floor. While I was explaining a bit about the distribution of the room the Alpha politely, still with that smirk interrupted "Excuse me Miss Nathaly, I understand the distribution of the housing us done considering the ranks each has on its pack an all, and the why I am way to the top, but there is this little detail, where is the dinning hall or the kitchen?, you see we may be high ranked but...I bet you get me" with the same polite smile I replied him "Well Alpha I totally understand by that, if you are hungry right now you must know that I already had food brought to each of your rooms so you can rest without worrying about missing breakfast, now about your question you can find the dining hall and the kitchen by following those stairs, first you'll find lots of nicely arranged tables for breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the time you decide to go, and right in the back you will see a wooden door that will lead you to the kitchen, all the personal is ready to prepare anything that would be of your liking in between meals, if you want you can also access the pack fridge, or your own personal ones that are in your rooms, and will be replenished every day" all the group kept following me after I had finished explaining that, and I could her one of them saying "So this is how Silver Crimson treats its guests? No wonder people love coming here". They started chuckling a little, but went silent when Alpha turned and I am almost a hundred percent sure he glared at them for not keeping their thoughts to themselves, when he noticed I was going to say something. At that, I chuckled a bit. They were all friends for the way they acted, but it was just too much he was bothering them for having fun. "Yes gentlemen, that's probably the reason everybody confirmed their attendance at our naming ceremony, and later meetings, after all, it is part of what differentiates us from others" they were startled that I had heard them so clearly, and then understood that they had talked a little higher than they though, while I smiled at them gently, and a second after that we came to our first stop."Mister Dereck here is your room, I hope you enjoy your visit to our pack, and if there is anything I can help you with please let me know. In all your rooms there is a card next to the phone that has my contact and my brother's. You can call mine whenever you need anything, and just for emergencies or urgent business to the Alpha to be's number. I hope you rest fine". After that we set off for the second floor. I could feel the Alpha's stare fixed on me while I walked, but I had to remain calm over everything and keep my stance impeccable. I couldn't call myself an Alpha's daughter if I couldn't keep myself from tripping on my heels. When we were almost in the Beta's room, the Alpha talked again. We had been silent ever since we left the first floor. Except from the greeting from the pack members that had woken up earlier to help finish everything in time for the arrival of the other guests and, of course the sporadic chuckle between the three of them that were chatting through the mindlink, "You look very nice in those clothes, and the fact that you look so spotless, even at this time of the day is truly charming" well that was something, this was definitely a surprise, after all I was working with our oldest rivals, members of the pack that had slaughtered my parents and left me an orphan, you don't expect that. "Thank you for your compliment Alpha, it is a privilege to help you during this visit, so I have to play the part as well through what I wear and how do I look" that was what mom had told me the first time I was assigned to a group of guests, they complimented me as well but because it was a very strange thing to see how a ten year-old girl that walked around the place showing them everything with great detail, and dressed completely perfect with a bond on her hair. I had a lot to live up to my brother's perfect son example and my parents always perfect behavior, I was never allowed to make a tantrum, at least not in public, and was taught that my presentation card should be a gentle and adorable polite smile, mixed with the right clothes and make up. My thoughts were interrupted by the Alpha "You know you don't have to call me by my title all the time. My name is Edward, ehhh and by the way I am seventeen years old" No way... Just one year older than me, but he certainly had much more experience at flirting than I had, I don't even know how to do it. What I know for sure is that he is somehow flirting with me, and I have no idea why he would do that. Finally, I got a break and left the Beta in his room, although before we left I noticed he mindlinked only his Alpha, who gave a quick glance, looked at him with a straight face before erupting in quick laughter, I just rolled my eyes at how childlike their behavior was, and I mean all three, because when he noticed they were talking in private he started telling the to let him know what they were talking about. After we left the Beta's room, he kept whining about how mean it was of them to leave him out of the conversation all of a sudden, when the Alpha said it wasn't something really important. It was just Axel making fun of him, but having his joke thrown back to him almost immediately. Their small talk allowed me to get to the Gamma's room peacefully and leave him to rest. Now here came the last part of my mission, after this I would finally go to sleep for a couple of hours and rest from a working day that surpassed the 24 hours. And when I looked at my watch while waiting for the elevator I saw it was almost six thirty in the morning, meaning that the first three guests had taken almost an hour to get settled in their rooms. When the doors opened, he allowed me to come in first even if I offered him the first step on the lift. We had to take the lift because the upper floor was the fifth. Generally, I would have taken the stairs, but right now I felt very tired, and the only thing I could think of was sleeping. I was well aware that he was looking closely at my every move, brushing my temples from the growing headache I was getting from the lack of rest, the hidden yawn I did when we were going through the third floor and me scrubbing my eyes in a wick attempt to keep myself alert and well awake. But when we arrived on the fifth floor, he told me to get out first, and by the time I moved my first feet out of the elevator I noticed a dizziness that only told me I was seconds away from the floor, so I just waited for the thud of my body against the floor, but it never came, then I saw black spots blur my vision, and for what I think was lots of time I just saw black. When I started to open my eyes, everything was blurry, and after a couple of seconds I saw a bit of the elevator's ceiling and then was struck by the sight of two dark blue eyes full of concern. As my mind woke up from the blackout, I remembered I felt dizzy, my vision blurred and...Dear Goddess, this is why there was no thud or pain, the Alpha had managed to trap me safely in his arms before I could get hurt. Now I feel really embarrassed, I allowed my exhaustion to get the best of me. Before I knew it, he was carrying me out to the hallway bridal style, because the elevator's door was closing. "Are you alright? Do you feel fine? Did you get hurt anywhere? You need me to take you to the hospital?" Goddess, he could speak fast. "You have nothing to worry about Alpha, I am alright, thanks to your action I didn't get hurt at all, therefore I thank you and let me reassure you that there is no need to take me to the hospital, since this was just a display of how much I need a nap" I laughed a little, but he didn't find it amusing at all. After what I said, he looked less worried, but there was something else on his features, it looked very much like frustration. I wonder what he was mad about? All was fine or maybe not, he looked again deep into my dark brown eyes. "First, I am very glad you feel fine and that you didn't get hurt. Second, I have been patient. I promise I tried but is it that hard to just call me Edward... for the Goddess sake I am too on edge after a twelve hour flight to be ignored like this. And third, you are telling me where my room is so I can take you there and there either you sleep in my room or you call someone to escort you back to your room, so that you are able to finally rest". Wait a second, what happened here? I am lost, I need to walk by myself, clear my thoughts, this is too confusing d**n. "Alph... Excuse me, Edward, please calm down, let me walk by myself so I can show you your room. So please put me down". He left me on my feet reluctantly and then we started walking. He was clearly bothered by me not calling him by his name, and I think as well by the fact I didn't allow him to carry me, but how could I do that? It is amazingly inappropriate. What would my parents tell me if they found out? No, no way I was making them this upset in the middle of such a happy occasion. I was not letting them down. When we arrived at his room, he opened the door and was about to go in when he noticed I was not following. "Off I go, I need to get some rest. So Edward, we will meet later in the afternoon. I hope you get a good rest, and hope you enjoy the breakfast the team has prepared for you. I am very sorry I upset you before. From now on, I will do my best to keep up with your expectations of our hospitality. Thank you for your patience and preventing me from getting hurt. See you later" But when I was about to walk away from him and towards the elevator, his hand got a grip on my shoulder, but he didn't hurt me. He turned me around and, even in my high heels, I was about a head lower than him, so I looked up with a straight face that he returned with an icy glare. "You really think I would take the risk of you passing out again and this time getting really hurt? I told you, either you call someone to escort you back to your room or you stay right here and sleep in my bed. I don't care about not sleeping as long as that means you are not in danger" The way he said it left it clear, I wasn't moving unless he was sure I was going to be back in my room safely. What a creepy mood he has. I pulled my phone and dialed the guest waiting area. After two rings, Hannah herself answered "Good morning, is there anything I can do for you?" they had practiced their kind tone for a while now and it sounded like being in a real hotel, which made me grin at them."Hannah, it's me, I am with the Alpha of the Argent Moon Pack on the fifth floor, a while ago I passed out, would you mind coming or sending someone to escort me back to my room? Just to be safe". There were a few seconds of silence and she answered "Sure miss Nathaly, I am going to get you with one of the warriors that heard our conversation and offered to help. Please stay right where you are. We will be there in no time" she hung up and I looked back at Edward. He was still worried, but was a little more relaxed after hearing that I would be well taken care of. Hannah looked worried and the warrior next to her had the same expression of deep concern about my well-being, but once I smiled at the two familiar faces, their expressions softened. Hannah approached to feel my pulse and feel my temperature. I was alright it's just that my blood pressure had gone really, really low because I hadn't been able to rest, so that is that.. The warrior, who I knew was Sebastian, he was going to be my brother's Beta, said "Miss I think it's high time you returned to your bedroom to rest, it was quite a huge scare you gave us back there" I laughed at his protectiveness, he considered me a little sister. "And thank you for taking care of her, I will make sure the Alpha-to-be knows what you did for his little sister" that was directed straight to Edward, his voice was frozen but still grateful, to that Edward nodded. "I can't wait to go to sleep, let's get going guys" I said with a yawn. When we started walking to the elevator, I heard how Edward's door was closed, but I didn't know that it was because he decided to follow us. He was right behind me, making sure I was safe. After a little while, we had arrived at my room, with me just trembling because of the coldness that ran through my body. I closed the door, and saw how everyone had left to keep doing their respective tasks. I changed into my fluffy pijamas, I cleaned the make-up of my face and got into the safety and coziness of my bed.
