THIRD POV Emily stood in her office, staring outside the window wondering how she will handle the company. Her fingers tapped the desk anxiously as Annie, her wolf, paced inside her mind with irritation. “We can handle this,” Annie said supportively. “Once the humans adjust, everything will fall into place. You just need more time.” Emily nodded, though her pulse refused to settle. The council elders had let her go, but barely. And only because of the pup, her pup.
