I’ll do anything.” She grabbed his shirt. “Don’t hurt him.” Brandon lay on his back, sweating and grimacing. “Kaya.” She blubbered. “Seven, please.” “You beg for his life?” Seven shook her. “I love you more than he ever could.” He waved the gun in her face. “Why is he here, anyway?” He stomped his foot. “He has no business being here.” “Seven.” She panted. “I promise to do whatever you want if you don’t hurt him.” “No,” Brandon grunted. “Kaya.” “I’ll do whatever you want.” She struggled to form a smile through her quivering lips. “Please, Seven. This is between you and me, remember?” She touched his cheek, and he closed his eyes. “It’s about you and me and no one else.” “That’s right.” He opened his eyes.
