CHAPTER FOURTEEN “Don’t tell me to drop this with Kaya.” Seven paced in Brandon’s contemporary-style den, his cherry-brown shoes clacking on the hardwood. “We belong together and I’m getting her back.” “I say let this go.” Brandon sat on the polyester sectional, which boasted the exact color of marble. “You can’t make someone want you.” “I’d give her everything!” Seven plopped into the platinum cube chair, facing the floor-to-ceiling windows. “Why is she punishing me? If she could just tell me what’s wrong, I could fix it.” “She’s just a woman.” Brandon swallowed, fidgeting. “There are tons who’d want you.” “Just a woman?” Seven turned, crooking his body so he could see Brandon. “Even you can’t believe Kaya Boro is just a woman. Her art opened my eyes to a world I didn’t know existed.
