I ran as fast as I could through the corridors to get to the dining room. Throughout my one-week stay at this place, I have never tried to explore any part of the house. But today, here I am, in order to save Gracie. I didn't have a plan or an idea of what to do. But the thought that someone was going to kill Gracie, whom I considered a friend, just because her hair was in some food, sounded crazy to me, and I wasn't going to stand there and let it happen. If only I had gotten there on time when my father called me... Tears threatened to blur my vision, but I rubbed my eyes, swallowed down my sorrow and kept running until I reached the end of the corridor. That one door. Entering it would lead to the main house. And I entered, not knowing what faith had in store for me. I could hear chaos coming from across the hallway, and I walked right there, to find a scene that would be etched into my mind forever, and not for anything, but for how bizarre it was, not knowing that it would be my reality for a while. The dining room was normal, like one you would find in any mansion. Except that, sitting down, was a handsome man, an amused look on his face, as if he seemed to be enjoying everything unfolding before him. Which was none other than who I assumed to be the Luna, with one arm, strangling Gracie, who seemed to be on the verge of passing out, or dying rather, as her feet dangled in the air. There were three people standing , their heads bowed, as if begging for mercy. How could they be such cowards? "Hey stop! You are going to kill her!" I shouted at the woman, and for the first time, she seemed to snap out of whatever trance she was in, and looked shocked in my direction. It was as if she was surprised someone dared to interrupt her. "What. Did. You. Just say to me?" she asked in bewilderment. "I told you to f*****g stop! Are you crazy?! So what if you found hair in your food? That is no excuse to try to kill someone. Let her go, or I will call the police on you," I threatened. I didn't have a phone to call anyone really, and if the police were to come, they would take me away too, but I mustered up the courage to stand my ground. The woman chuckled, but I didn't let that falter my stance. "Did you hear this little thing, Carson?" She chuckled at the blonde sitting and watching with a smirk on his face. "I swear this is more entertaining than all those parties," he laughed, which had me feeling annoyed. "Shut up Carson," the woman sneered at him as he continued to laugh. "Both of you must be psychopaths," I stated, disgusted, but Carson just let out a whistle. "I like this one. She is like a kitty cat. You don't know what you are up against, are you?" he directed the last sentence at me, but I didn't care, as I stepped towards Luna still holding Gracie, although luckily, Luna was distracted enough to loosen her grip on her neck. "No, either she is very stupid or she has a death wish," Luna said, letting go of Gracie, who dropped to the ground like a sack, and I rushed towards her to help, but Luna turned to face me. Raising her hand, she said authoratively. "Stop. Bow, now." her voice resonated around the room, and the three people that were standing dropped on their knees. Ignoring all that, I went on my knees, but instead of bowing my head like the others did, I grabbed Gracie, shaking her to wake her up. Luckily, she was still breathing and slowly opened her eyes, which looked hazy, but her neck had marks from being strangled. "Gracie, are you okay?" I asked, supporting her head. "Did you just ignore my order?" Luna said in surprise. I glared at her, feeling enraged. "Whoo. Looks like our kitty cat isn't your typical werewolf," Carson stated. "B-but, I am a Luna. And I have alpha blood running in my veins," she seemed to tremble. "Come on now, let's go," I said to Gracie, who was slowly coming to her senses. "Oh you are not going anywhere," Luna smiled evilly, just as she grabbed me by the neck, and as soon as my legs were raised off the ground and I could feel my legs dangling in the air, did I realize how helpless I was at that moment. Her hand started to tighten around my neck, and using all the strength I could muster while gasping for air, I thrashed and kicked with my legs while my hands tried to scratch her hand, or at least I tried. "Hmmm, what do we have here?" she said curiously. It had to have been my brain running out of oxygen that was playing tricks on me, but did her eyes just glow? "You are afraid now, aren't you?" she snorted. "I knew there was no way you would be a werewolf. An omega would have trembled in my presence, and I would have sensed your wolf if you were a strong werewolf," her head tilted as she examined me while I struggled to breathe. I could tell that while she was strangling me, her hand was only tight enough to weaken me, but not kill me. " I thought maybe you were a witch. But a witch wouldn't dare defy me, which brings us to one simple explanation, you are a human, aren't you!" she declared. In the background, I could hear Carson clap while Gracie let out a shocked gasp.
