ALARIC
“What's not happening?” I asked curiously, still surprised by her behavior.
Why was she making it seem so difficult to believe me? Or did I say something wrong?
I had done all I could to speak to her as calmly as ever, but that only ended up making her even worse.
“Have I said anything wrong?”
“Umm.. not at all, King Alaric. I was only trying to make you see reasons with me to let me leave with the kids. I don't feel comfortable around here, and I'm sure they don't either.”
“Did they ever tell you that they weren't comfortable here?” I shot a glare at her. Anger was gradually beginning to boil within me, but I was only trying to do my very best to keep calm.
