Erick's POV
I notice her expression and can see that she's waiting for my response. No one has ever prepared breakfast for me and brought it to bed before; it's a new gesture for me, as only the servants have done such things.
"I really like it. I truly appreciate what you've done." I smile and feed her a bite.
"I think it turned out really well." I get up to take my pills, and immediately her attention is on me.
"What are they for?" she asks curiously while holding one of the children who starts to fidget uncomfortably.
"They're for the pain. When there's a lot of pressure from the action, it starts to hurt a bit in that area."
"The wound?"
"Yes, sometimes it hurts as if it's fresh. Other times, the pain is more subdued, which is why I take them." She lowers her gaze as if feeling
