CHAPTER TWO Dishonesty [2:12 AM]   Yoongi sat in his bedroom and stared at the blank wall before him. Police sirens wailed outside before dissipating into the distance. Yoongi merely played with the lighter that was within his hand over, and over again. It flickered once, then he did it again, twice, and he throws the lighter on the floor, drinking the bottle of alcohol that sat on his end table. He ran a hand though his hair, as it was dirty, greasy, fairly blonde, and losing colour. Like how Yoongi was losing hope. His faith. He stared at the broken mural of pictures on the wall next to him. He completely smashed the glass as hard as he could once he reached his empty home. "I f*****g hate you, Kim Namjoon," Yoongi merely muttered as he even spit on his picture and burned it. Yoongi does not forgive those who hurt him most. There's a soft knock on the door and Yoongi wondered who would visit him that very hour. Then again, he wondered why he was still up at that very hour. 2 AM. Seokjin walked in, holding a bag of food with a weary smile on his face, and softly shut the door behind him. "I brought you food," He whispered. Yoongi doesn't turn around and stares at the carpeted floor, his eyes never leaving that particular spot of interest. Seokjin sighed to himself and sits down next to Yoongi. "It's your favourite. A Bento box filled with all your favourite dishes." Yoongi shuts his eyes tightly and looks at the steaming box of food within Seokjin's hands. Seokjin pushes the box towards him and Yoongi takes it, looking at it before looking at him. "Why did you- " "I noticed you hadn't eaten a thing all day," Seokjin spoke, breaking his chopsticks apart with his teeth, "it pains me when you don't, Yoongs." Seokjin rarely called him his nickname which surprised Yoongi as he crossed his legs and pulls the other pair of chopsticks out of the bag and breaks them apart slowly. "Jin?" "Yeah?" "Am I really a monster?" Yoongi merely whispered. Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows and looks at Yoongi then sighed, giving him a sympathetic look, "no." Yoongi looks down at his meal and eats a piece of chicken. "Were you really the one that got Hoseok hooked on pills in the first place?" Seokjin asked, pouring sauce onto his noodles. "I-I," Yoongi was the one who did it. He did give Hoseok those pills. Seokjin knew the answer, but he wanted Min Yoongi to admit it himself. "I-I did." "And you lied to us all," Seokjin muttered, "you said Hoseok managed to get into your cabinet and he came across them. You never told us you gave them to him." "J-Jin," Yoongi nearly let out a loud sob, "please don't turn on me. I only wanted to help because he wouldn’t take them unless I lied." "Shh," Seokjin shook his head, continuing to eat his meal, "I know, Yoongi." I know.
