Chapter 13
Monday evening came, and Jace took one last look around his living room to be certain he hadn’t forgotten anything. He wasn’t used to entertaining. In fact, as his friends had jokingly pointed out, he had never had any of them over to visit, including Liam.
Food and drinks…He looked at the table he’d set up at one end of the room, between his bookshelves. Just have to put stuff out when people show up. Enough places to sit. He’d brought in extra chairs from the dining room and spaced them around. Music. Hurrying over to the small entertainment center, he punched the button on the DVD player and the sounds of Oscar Peterson from his ‘Night Train’ album filled the room. He listened for a moment then turned it down. Don’t want to overpower people talking.
