Ella's POV

My sister went to work this morning she usually is home by now from her night job at the club I wonder what is holding her up. I've been texting and calling her all night. "maybe she went to go see her mate." My wolf Mystic says to me she dose have a point she could be with Josh. I'll go see him tomorrow if she dont show up. The next morning I check Layla's room to see if she snuck in while I was asleep her bed hasn't been slept in. Makes me wonder if she really is with Josh but won't say anything. Getting ready for the day I had this feeling in the pit of my stomach that something good was gonna happen to me even Mystic was excited to. Im coming up to the club and enter it, its not as busy as it would be at night but I go over to the manger and ask if he has seen Layla last night He told me she didn't show up last night. Hmm..why would she not show up to work? Leaving the club I walk towards the diner I go and see Judy the women who works with my sister I ask her the same question she says "not since she left for her other job sweetie" okay so she came to the diner for work but didn't show up for the club now Im starting to get worried I hurry on and head towards the outskirts of Chicago changing into my wolf form running as fast as I could I make it to Josh's place in ten minutes shifting back i pull on my clothes that I tied onto my leg and walk to the door my stomach is now in knots something is gonna happen and I really just need to focus on finding my sister. Knocking on the door this beautiful brown eyed man opens it and Mystic screams "Mate!" she is jumping up and down wanting to take control over me. This man he has blonde hair with big brown Bambi eyes,he was muscular but not too much muscle where its gross but just the perfect amount of muscle he was probably four inches taller then me he wore a blue zip up hoodie,a black v-neck shirt underneath the hoodie,his pants faded and fit him perfectly he had black Nikes shoes on wow man I should of dressed up more. Standing in front of my mate I didn't know what to say so I just rub my other arm and stare at the ground "umm...Hi umm... im Ella."

he says this with the most heart melting smile ever dose he know were Mates? he invites me inside and leads me to the living room sitting down I start to feel nervous,twirling my hair he sees this and chuckles the sound of his chuckle is so sexy. Caden my mate hands me a glass of water he sits next to me on the couch which makes me sit up even straighter. Stretching out his arm across the back of the couch and putting a leg on the other he looks at me with a smile and I swear to the moon goddess I almost fainted. "Ella what brings you here? not that I'm not glad I met you we are mates after all we were made for each other" he says this while he twist a lock of my hair around his pointer finger. Oh my! I almost forgot why I was here putting down my drink I look at Caden and ask about my sister "Im here looking for my sister Layla she didn't come home last night and I went to the club this morning they told me she didn't show up for her shift so I was wondering if she was here with Josh." he sits there and thinks spacing out like he is talking to someone in his mind after about a minute he comes back and smiles at me while taking a drink. why dose he look so sexy at everything he dose? Then the elevator bings and Josh steps out and walks towards me and Caden. Standing up,Josh pulls me into a hug I hear Caden growl "mine" pulling away Josh raises and eyebrow at him then looks at me until he finally realized that Caden is my mate. Rubbing his chin "thats interesting you two are mates and everytime I came back from Layla's Caden would always ask why I smell so fruitie this is amazing!" he says as he classped his hands together. Still standing Caden slowly starts to pull me towards him and places me on his lap making my cheeks burn with embarrassment I can't believe I'm sitting on his lap! I don't even know him but yet I feel like I've known him my whole life.Still sitting on my mates lap I get up the courage to ask Josh my question "umm..Josh have you seen Layla in the past 24 hours?" his face shows his emotions its clear and written all over his face that he hasn't seen her, starting to get more worried about Layla I get up and start to pace back and forth in the living room Omg Omg this cant be happening where is my sister mumbling to myself Caden and Josh just keep looking at me not saying anything until finally Caden gets up and wraps me in his warm embrace breathing in his scent to calm myself down,feeling him rub his hand up and down my back in a soothing motion "baby girl tell me what is making you so worried" Looking up into his Bambi eyes I feel like I might burst into tears right then and there. Trying to speak I start to hyperventilate "I..cant...I cant..." seeing this Caden then sits down and pulls me onto his lap again and I rest my head in the crook of his neck trying to get myself together so I can speak after a few moments I feel like I can finally talk. "I cant find Layla im worried that out past has come back to haunt us im scared she was kidn*pped and is going to die" after I say this Josh gets angry and punches the wall behind him "What!!!" he yells his fist clenching and uncleching now he is the one pacing back and forth but very angry like, im scared and Caden can feel it so he holds me tighter against his chest. "Boss you need to calm down you are scaring Layla's sister,my mate" at the mention of his mates name Josh then sits in the chair next to me and Caden. He runs his hands through his hair and leans forward, placing his elbows on his knees with his head in his hands looking at the ground he says "I haven't seen my princess in couple weeks when I was spouse to meet up with her for our two month anniversary she never showed after that I haven't seen or heard from her." a few moments of silence Josh looks up from his hands and his face looks sad, he is on the verge of tears I can tell he wants to cry but he holds it together he is after all a mafia boss and werewolf. I then get up from my mates lap and he whines but doesn't take action, now I'm the one pacing back and forth mumbling under my breath then the front door opens and this man comes in looking around he spots all three of us in the living room smiling he says "well who is this beauty?" at that comment my mate is in front of that man in a matter of seconds he has his hand wrapped around the man's throat holding him up against the wall,my mates eyes change color from brown to gold and I know his wolf has control. "She is MINE! she is MY mate!" he says this to the man while growing. Walking over to them I put my hand on his shoulder and he turns to look at me, he calms down and pulls me into his embrace smelling my hair, his eye change back to normal and the man falls to the floor in a coughing fit. Giving the man a few seconds he regain his composer and looks at Josh "why are we all gathering here anyways? whats this about?" Josh gets up and punches the wall again making me jump,Caden holds me closer and looks at Nichols "we're here Nichols because Layla is missing,my mate" he says this smelling me again making my cheeks heat up "says she hasn't seen or heard from her sister since she left for work in the morning" he finishes what he started saying and the man called Nichols looks between the three of us "well last I saw her she was running away from your office on the day of your anniversary she looked like she was going to break down and cry" he says this while pointing at josh, Josh then realized something and gets even more angry. After he calms himself down. I look down at my feet not knowing if I should tell these men about our past, our powers, our old pack. Could they even be trusted? Josh is my sisters mate and Caden is my mate but I just met him. Josh noticed that I was spacing out and came up to me and was standing in front of me and Caden. "Ella dear is there something your not telling us?" not looking up at him or at anyone of them I kept my mouth shut, Caden unwrapped me from his embrace turns me to look at him, lifts my head so im looking him in his Bambi eyes and pecks my lips "baby girl whatever it is you can tell us, all we want to do is find your sister and bring her home safely" starting to hyperventilate again and tears rolling down my face Caden pulls me into his muscular but soft chest "give her until tomorrow guys she been through enough for the day" at this the other two nod and head towards the elevator not knowing what to do I just stand there with caden looking around until I finally feel better enough to speak without stuttering "I should head back home" at this Caden grabs my hand and leads me to the elevator and presses the top floor button and we wait until it opens then he pulls me into what looks like an office, letting go of my hand he walks to the window and opens it, stepping out onto the balcony he then calls for me. I walk out on the balcony but I don't see him he calls my name again and I look up, he is on the roof! how did he get up there? looking around I noticed a drop ladder on the side blending in with the house climbing up I sit next to him. Caden pulls me closer and wraps his arm around my shoulder we just sit there starting up at the stars they are so beautiful. without thinking i say "beautiful" Looking at the stars I noticed that caden ain't looking up at the stars but looking at me instead "the stars are beautiful. so is your smile, ill never forget this night for as long as I live" he leans closer to me,with his hand he brushes my hair behind my ear, his thumb grazing my cheek ever so slightly and he kiss me, his lips so soft his tongue entwined with mine a soft moan escaping us both, pulling away before things could get to heated I tell him again that I should head home. "Baby girl stay here until we find your sister please..you will be safe here with me." he said to me. I'm scared I've never spent the night with a man before. "okay" is all I could manage to say. He stands up and gets down from the roof then waits for me. Once I get down we head back to the elevator and go down one floor where he lives as we get closer to his bedroom I get even more nervous what dose he expect from me? dose he want to have s*x? once inside his room I take in the surroundings there is a 65 inch flat screen tv mounted on the wall and a queen size bed in the middle of the room off to the right is the bathroom and on the other side is a walk in closet and blue curtains there are some paintings on the wall, he also has a balcony behind the blue curtains. He turns the TV on throwing the remote on the bed and starts to undress I look away immediately feeling a blush creeping up on my face, I hear him chuckle, covering my eyes with my hands I feel him stand in front of me removing my hands "there baby girl you can look no need to be so nervous we are mates after all were gonna have to complete the mating process." Ill make your first time romantic and special for you we can take it slow" Looking up from the pillow he smiles sweetly at me and gets up from the bed to go to his closet he comes back with a black shirt and hands it to me "put it on baby girl then we can lay here and watch tv" after I put the shirt on he turns out the light and lays down on the bed I cuddle up next to him feeling safe and secure in his arms he turns on the TV and start a movie half way through I feel myself start to drift off to sleep before I fall asleep he kisses the top of my head and whispers "goodnight baby girl"

"goodnight daddy" I respond and drift off to sleep. The following morning I feel like I'm sleeping on clouds the blue silk sheets, blue comforter makes it hard to wake up not only that but the fact that my mate is cuddling me from behind. I'm the little spoon and he is the big spoon his warmth is all I needed to fall back to sleep for a few more hours. I wake to a cold feeling behind me, rolling over I realized my mate wasn't in bed with me no more. Sitting up I see my clothes from yesterday folded neatly on the foot of the bed getting up I dress quickly I hear the shower stop and my mate comes into the room with just a towel wrapped around his waist, drops of water running down his body I didn't realize I was staring until he chuckles "like what you see?" I gulp and nod my head "yes daddy" saying it seems to natural now. Once he is dressed we head down to the first floor where Josh and Nichols are waiting for us. Nichols was the first to speak "took you guys long enough" he says while crossing his arms over his chest we make our way towards the couch and Caden sits down first pulling me on his lap.

"now Ella tell us what you been hiding from us who would take Layla" Josh asks me I take a deep breath and start to tell them about mine and Layla's past before we moved to Chicago.
