Lina P.O.V

Duncan finally managed to get me to trust him, somewhat. I met his wife and ate what she cooked. She really was a nice lady and everything he said seems true so far. We walked out of the house and agreed to him and I would go back to my pack together. As long as I came of no harm then his word should be true enough. I thanked his wife for a delicious meal and we proceeded down the steps. Soon as we made it we caught the site of Gamma Chase. Duncan's face went white as a ghost. "I guess he's not here on good terms", I said. "No, he isn't. In fact he has his own mission. I want peace and he wants revenge", Duncan finished. Chase stepped forward with a couple dozen rogues. "Easy or hard. It's really up to you. Either way she's coming with me and I will get what I want", Chase said. "Gage is dead. Why are you still fighting a lost cause?" Duncan kept stepping closer to him. "Duncan he's crazed. Don't step too close", I instructed. "She comes with me or your family dies". We both paused and looked around us. We were surrounded by rogues. There was no way for us to fight them off. "I sent the witch to her original home", Duncan spoke. "It's alright Duncan. Go to my pack and tell him what has happened. Tell them your family has my pardon. Explain everything truthfully and it will be okay". He looked at me wide eyed. "What about you?" I walked in front of him. "Better me than all of ya'll". I walked up to Chase and stood in front of him. "Just know, whatever you do to me, my mate will do ten fold", I finished before accepting defeat. He cuffed me and dragged me by my arm. "What I'll do to you.......your alpha won't want to do to anyone". I gulped but remained strong. I can't let my emotions through. My hope was Duncan telling Aaron what happened and hoping he got spared. "Let's go then. We don't have time to waste", I stated. "So eager. Good", Chase sneered. We walked for a couple miles until we arrived at a Mercedes on the side of the road. " I hope you don't think I'm the only one planning all this". I looked at him all hope fading away.

Maya P.O.V

Lucas and I were in the garden brainstorming about every alpha we still knew. There's no way those rogues had such a problem with our pack or Lina that they would do this knowing their demise. I stayed drinking tea and watering the plants over and over. I know it's not good to over water but that helps me think. Lucas stopped me and led me towards the pond nearby. I stood there silently with tears. " Honey, we didn't know that would happen. Who predicts a witch amongst rogues", Lucas finished. "I guess nobody. I still feel like we could've done something", I said. "Dear, you leapt at them as soon as you saw. They disappeared before you got them. Honestly I'm thankful for that because I couldn't go without you again. I'd lose it for real this time and I wouldn't come back" I sighed. "I know you're right but we spent time together in captivation. I need her here as much as she needs me. We are a part of each other without being mates. It's hard", I began to cry. Lucas wrapped his arms around me and let me soak his chest. "How about we visit Triss and Rosa and see how they are settling in"? I smiled." That sounds like a good idea. I trust our son to get Lina so we can distract ourselves a little", I finished.

Triss P.O.V

Ever since we got home she's been holed up in my room. I can't even enter. It's been two days and she doesn't come out. I just want to help but I don't know how. I stayed at the main house so obviously there are people in and out. I sat down once again admitting defeat. I was sitting back with my eyes closed when the former luna and alpha walked in. "Where's Rosa Triss?" I looked up. "She has blockaded herself in my room and won't let a soul in", I answered. "Give me a few minutes then", Former Luna said walking off. " She's a miracle worker with those that have been deemed damaged goods", Former alpha Lucas stated. We both sat on the couch for a bit just talking about the mission when Lucas suddenly got a shocked face. "What is it?" He stood up running up to the Alphas office. I followed close behind. "Son?" He stormed in. "I think I might have a lead". Aaron stood immediately. "Let's hear it dad". Before he could start talking we got a mind link an intruder was on the premises. All three of us ran outside and saw our warriors bringing the past beta of Gage to us Aaron tried to launch but Lucas, Dom and I managed to get ahold of him. " Son, he's here for a reason. Let him talk", Lucas spoke. "You have ten seconds", Aaron announced.

Aaron P.O.V

This scum had the nerve to come here after everything his alpha did. I need Lina. She would want his head on a platter. However it is strange she's gone and he appears."Well,speak". He cleared his throat. "Lina was taken". I scoffed. "No s**t. She's not here so obviously", I retorted. "No I mean she was taken again. She was with me when it happened." I looked at him c**k eyed. "So you took her the first time?" He nodded. That's all I need to hear. I launched for him. "Wait, I didn't take her for the purpose you are thinking. I wanted amends and knew you wouldn't listen but she would. Please we were supposed to return here together to plead my case", he finished quickly. "What case is that?"
