Stella
Stella
"Where are we headed, Ashley?" I asked my sister, who was bobbing her head to tunes, playing on the car stereo. She was dressed in a little skin tight dress, so why am I just taking notice of this. "I wanted to see Robbie he is at his Friend Storm's place." Ashley responded, flipping her beautifully curly hair over her right shoulder.
"Really, Ashley, you have me showing up at some strangers' place with ripped sweats and a crop top." I narrowed my eyes at her.
"You're fine,"
"I'm not fine. My whole muffin top is hanging over the side of my sweats." I looked down at my fluffy middle.
"You're being dramatic." My younger sister rolled her eyes.
"I'm not. You said this was a corner store run. Hence, the corner store runs outfit Ashley. Wouldn't you be embarrassed to be seen with me looking homeless?"
"Oh my goodness. Stella, do you want to know the truth? Mom and Dad paid me to get you out of the house." Ashley admitted. I was speechless with my mouth wide open.
Ashley shook her head. "Close your mouth, Stella. Dad had planned a romantic dinner for mom and didn't know how to tell you they wanted the house to themselves." She handed me a brush and her lipgloss. like that would make up for my choice in clothing. But I accepted it, brushing my hair down. Good thing it was wash day, and my hair wasn't a tangled mess.
Even though I had an abundance of a rack, belly, and behind, l had a decent body. Not a size four like Ashley but an eleven. My clothing was comfortable, but for this social event, we pulled up a half hour later called for jeans and a full shirt. I glanced around and saw a lot of attractive people. There was a bonfire burning with shirtless men everywhere. I hate that my parents paid my little sister to get rid of me, but maybe this is worth the time.
"You didn't mention the part about a party, Ashley." I gave her the evil eye. Ashley rolled her eyes.
"You are a twenty-two year old virgin. Maybe loosen up a little and get lucky tonight."
"Really, Ash."
"Yes, really. I'm the little sister and have more of a life than you."
"I have reasons. I enjoy my time at home, "
"What? Living in a fantasy world." Ashley said, referring to my book collection.
"Well, it's a lot more interesting reading paranormal books than real life. Plus, I've been saving for a car and eventually my own place." Negative feelings begin to creep into my mind. My little sister just laid my life out on a platter. Mom and dad needed more privacy, and I was in the way. Well, it looks like I'm canceling the car funds and putting all my savings into finding my own place.
The car was parked. Ashley turned, facing me. "Stel, I love you. Now relax, get out your head. Everything is fine. Just go out, meet new people, and most importantly, have fun for a change. Also, please dont be weird with your quirkiness and lame humor."
"I will try not to embarrass you. And try to be normal. " I said, adding air quotes.
"Good there is Robbie, let's get out. I can't wait to jump his bone." Ashley winked.
"Oh gosh, Ashley, that's too much info." I said as we got out.
"Why are we so far in the boonies. There is nothing around."
"Ugh, come on, Stella, keep up. It's a bonfire we hang out here often. I'll have to introduce you to Al..Storm first." Ashley said as we moved around people. We arrived in an area where tons of people were sitting. Ashely jumped into this guy arms that assume is Robbie. He was cute. Totally Ashley type of guy. Big muscular and blonde. I looked away as tongued each other down. "Gosh, get a room, you two. You're both pass out if you dont take a breath."I whispered. A few of them chuckled, causing Ashley to give me a warning glare after they unlocked.
"Guys, this is my older sister Stella. Could you let Storm know she's with me? " Ashley introduced me.
" I did, but you have to babysit sit your older sister?" Robbie and the others laughed. I hate being the butt of people jokes. This is not the first time I've been the top target of Ashley's friends jokes. All of her little friends in high school used to treat me like a freak show. But I'll admit to being a little Emo. Compared to Ashley, the model, who is every guy's dream. I rolled my eyes. "I'll be around Ashley. Text my phone if you need me." I turned and walked away without waiting for a response.
