Man and Woman Relationship

Episode it was on a rainy day when l was on my way hawking my beans cake, as a school drop out and orphan who has no one to help her even to learn a hand work as both parents died at early stage, and my uncle and his wife took me with him but he had no money to send me to continue my education, so l decided to make beans cake for sales in order to make ends meet. Beans cake has been a lucrative business which a lot of people didn't know , on that fateful day that l met Sally, it was raining heavily, so l decided to take a shield in front of one of the locked up stores along the road side and l was somehow restless because the rain was so heavy and has refused to stop, fear griped me because of my already cooked beans cake, so there l was thinking how is going to be if l couldn't sell my beans cake, knowing that it would not be easy, as l was in deep thought, there came in two handsome young guys who has been beaten by the rain, hey! young lady, one of them exclaimed stretched out his hand to exchange greetings which l reluctantly replied because l was not in the mode of happiness, l am Sally and you ? me, l am Elena yet my eyes was gazed on the basket of my beans cake. Sally noticed that my heart was troubled as he was trying to crack some jokes which l was not responding, He asked again, Pretty one, what could be troubling your heart amidst of this heavy down pour of rain when you should be in your house resting, me: are you in your house? what could have kept you outside too under this heavy rain? l asked in response to his questions without a smiling face and the gentleman did not picked offense due to the manner in which l replied back to him Though, my answer to him was not really polite not because l am a harsh lady but because of the circumstances that surrounds me but Sally was able to understand that l was somehow restless, To crown it all that day, l never knew that he was an angel or a helper in disguise, so after much talk which was basically to know me more, when the rain subsided, as he was trying to leave, requested for a phone number, l told him that l don't have any phone but l gave him the direction on how to locate me, before left, he deep his hand in his pocket, brought amount of money that has covered my goods double times and handed over to me which l refused to collect it from him because l was thought not to collect money from strangers, the truth is that inside me l needed the money to take care of myself but l don't want to bring myself too low but after much puasuation by him and his look alike friend l collected the money from him and we bid goodbye. This is how l and Sally became friends and he began to visit me from time to time. Although, visiting me for the first time in my house left me in a memory l cannot forget , he came closer to me, held my hands as tears flows from his eyes and he said to me lena that he so much love me and cannot tell the reason why he feel so different, he went further to say that he has been surrounded with all types of ladies, fair, fat and short but he never feel the same way he felt when he met me, l was rolling my eye balls in suprise and speechless because looking at the environment where l was, l have concluded that no guy in his right senses can ever love a girl in such unconducive area so l was dumbfounded at his saying Lena you have suffered a lot, l don't want you to go through this suffering anymore, he talks like someone has told him about me, this got me scary looking at a handsome guy like him shielding tears because of a woman he knows nothing much about all in the name of love, different thought befolded my heart, l mean thought of fear because l never knew such love exist and can be accepted by anyone , could this be real or he is one of those guys looking for a girl they can take advantage of. However, gradually we began to know each other more. Really getting to know Sally has brought a lot of joy and happiness in my life as he changed everything about me that people within my environment both those that called me good and bad names began to wonder, though l have never been upset when some people described me after my predicament, According to Reno, He said when people call you different names, good or bad, don't be upset. It just keeps getting more relevant. That should be your response to name-calling! This was exactly how l lived my life because getting angry due to the names people calls me will cause more harm than good so l choose to be happy despite whatever any man called me and that helps me a lot as it keeps me going. When Sally the Messiah came, l never knew he came from a wealthy family nor the son of a rich man because of his simple look, one will hardly believe that he came from such a rich family because he is a nice any simple guy, it was like a dream as he keep to suprising me with a new thing as each day breaks, but l never knew that war was loading which began the day he took me to his parents for introduction, honestly, what l was afraid of befall me Immediately he introduce me to his parents and l was rejected by his mother due to my educational background and that broke me and leave me shattered in a dark room where no one could be able to hear my voice. What happened on the day of my introduction keep to echo in my ears. Sally's father is a quiet and reasonable father anyone will wish to have, l did not know much about him but his ways of addressing issues proved that he is a nice man , He asked his son which village l came from and he replied Daddy, from the neighboring village and mentioned my surname , he replied oh my dear , are you the hunters daughter and l said yes, oh your father was a nice man before he met his death, you are welcome my daughter, me: l replied thank you sir with a low tone because l was still afraid as his mother has not spoken. there came his mother , in her words my daughter you are so beautiful and charming but my son will not marry you because you did not go to school and what she said is the final , l was broken, each time l hear the echo of our discussion on that day, l will be more shattered , it is not hidden that l was not welcomed to his house, l have been disqualified even when Sally was like mom we can send her to school and she read to any level we want but his mother refused by saying that he is not considering their family reputation, within me l was crying because of such humiliation by his mother, l left and never wished to come back there. Sally never wanted it this way but how is he going to convince his parents to accept a school dropout became an issue but he kept visiting without the knowledge of his parents which l kept turning every of his request down because l didn't want to go to a family who would not accepted me the way l am, in his words he kept saying let's keep the hope alive because you are the one for me and l will replied that l am not the problem but your mother, sometimes, different thought like should l get pregnant so that the mother will have no option than to permit us but fear will not allow me though l have began to develop love fornhim and don't want to loose him for any reason. so he decided to enroll me to one private school just to meet with his mother's desire but his mom was busy bringing different classes of ladies for his only son to marry and not to damage the reputation of their family, yet Sally wouldn't show any interest to his mother's request and that got his mother angry about me as she now believe that l am a gold digger who came to reap where she did not sow. Being a contest with other ladies actually exposes one to danger, l was in a contest with ladies whom l did not know and not in the same class with them, one day, l was on my way back to my house, when l saw a red car double cross me , l was confused as l have no friend who can block me like that on the road, are you Elena one of them asked before l could open my mouth to outer a word they have lifted me and put me inside the car and zoom off, lo and behold, it was kidnappers, who could have set me up the question going on within me, l don't have any issue with anyone, who could have done this to me, l was wallowing in thought as they drove me to an unknown destination with my mouth, legs and hands tied, l looked and cried for help but it was not coming, Being in the hand of kidnappers with new torment each day without knowing why l was tormented. Elena who will come for my rescue, is this the way am going to die? exactly the thought going on in my mind, how could l reach to Sally, family and friends for them to know that my life is in danger, my phone was collected from me by unknown people and they switched it off, as l was groaning in pains , l heard a voice like the voice of my late mother, saying, call on the God you know, l looked around, l did not see anyone so l concluded that the people were making mockery of me by saying l should call on the God l know, l ignored the voice because confusion was all over, could it be that l am being tormented because of Sally , l questioned but no one to give me any answer. It was now the third day on the hand of my tormentors with no water nor food , my bones and marrows are becoming weak, yet l couldn't remove my heart from Sally because l knew he will be looking for me as a day can not pass without him hearing or coming around to me see me and none of my family members knows my whereabout , O God help me you are the father of the fatherless l was going down in agony. l knew he can't hurt nor plot any evil against me, what could have been his condition, all this thought befolded my mind as l was in deep thought about him that voice came again with the tone of my late mother the second time saying , call on the God you know that he will come to your rescue and don't give up because you are at the verge of breakthrough but when l looked around l can't see anyone nor heard the voice again at this stage l have been taken over by fear, l surmouned the courage to go by the instruction that l have received by a strange voice, although, my late parents taught me to always pray more especially in tough situation. l began to sing and pray that God should intervene in my case because it now obvious to me that only God can save me from the situation l found myself. not quiet long after l prayed. l began to voices of people murmuring, one said let's free her to go and the other one responded that we should not free her to go but she should sign that she will have nothing to do with Sally again or her life, another also replied that we should not harm her that it is her destiny that is speaking for her, there were much arguments among them, then l realize that why l have been tormented all these days was because of Sally. Dear readers, the poor ones can not tell all the humiliation and insult they go through in the hand of some rich me, l couldn't control the pain in my heart at this moment as l struggle to remove the band's on my hands and mouth and l shouted please help me and don't harm me , l want to go l shouted. Immediately, two young ladies and a young man appeared before me and one of the lady was furious about me and they guy was trying to calm her down and she said the only thing that can calm her down is for me to promise that she will not see me close to Sally again , without wasting time, l promised her not to have anything to do will with Sally again and they carried me with a car and dropped me along the road , though, the place was not really familiar to me at least people can be able to see me and helped me, l got helped by a young man who saw me and pity on me , he took me to the hospital where l was taken care of. l spent some days in the hospital and no money to pay for my bills, l was not allowed to go out of the hospital, the young man who brought me was good and caring but he doesn't have such amount of money to pay. it was in that hospital l met Sally's mother and she rushed to me lena my daughter where have you been and what are you doing here, we have been searching everywhere for you, l could not outer a word because l don't know what will happen to me again if l should come close to them and l remembered that l have promised not to have anything with Sally again, l couldn't talk because it was his mother that brought this pain and humiliation upon me by rejecting me due to my educational qualifications. She shouted again please my daughter forgive me, my son's life is in danger as he is getting worst everyday since after the news of your disappearance, l didn't know when l shouted My Sally, where is he and what happened to him. immediately, the fear of what will happen to me overtook me again and l can not run out of the hospital because l have bills to settle but all my mind was on Sally , l became more and more confused and restless, but the mother could not let me rest as she was crying thinking that her only would die due to her selfish interest, within me, l wasn't myself because l so much loved Sally and wouldn't want him to die for any reason, that was when l made up my mind to go to his ward to see him, on getting there my Sally could not talk nor open his eyes only that he still have breath on him. Tears roll down from my eyes because l understood that he was groaning in pains all because of me. I remembered the voice that spoke me, call on the God you know and you are at the verge of breakthrough. Hmmm, are the point of break and things are not really palatable, l doubted , thinking that the breakthrough will come like magic without any stress At this moment, what matters to me is for him to live even if l did not get married to him, he deserves to live, then l walked so close to him, and l began to whisper in his ears lena is hear, woke up Sally my love, l am here all for you as l used my hands gently on his body, just like magic without wasting time, he opened his eyes and his mother was there watching and wondering what could have happened to her son, gradually he began to regain his unciousness. However, l am becoming Sally mother's favourite as she began to narrate the story that immediately, it became obvious to his son that l was missing, he refused to eat nor talk to anyone and as day breaks, his situation was becoming worsen the reason we rushed him to the hospital, she said that series of test has been conducted but no one was able to detect exactly what was wrong with him, that they have done everything possible to revive him but all efforts proved abortive as we were still discussing the nurse called that my attention was needed and l went to my room, it was the guy who brought me to the hospital , he has come to pay the hospital bill, l began to tell him about Sally after he has paid, l told that we should go and see Sally, when we got there, l never knew Daniel was Sally's cousin though he was a good Samaritan sent by God to help me, finally, Sally too was discharged and they took me home. Although, the new of my disappearance was all over the city so people gathered immediately l returned home and there jubilation in my family for the first time a daughter of a hunter is being celebrated, after the celebration , everyone has gone but the memory of all that l went through came fresh on me, confusion has set in again, at this moment now l was thinking so deep wether to continue with Sally or not Though l love him and he loved me too and he is still ready for me and now his parents has accepted me because they don't want to loose their, but fear of the promise l have made with my life, as the only child of my late parents, l want to make a name for me and my late parents, l never wanted anything that will lead me to die untimely.l decided to tell Sally to stay a way from me and that broke him again. coming to think of it , Sally's mother only accepted me due to the fear of loosing his son, paraventure l get married to her son , she will continue to humiliate me each day because l wasn't up to the standard of ladies she has brought for her son, so l called it a quit . but Sally would not allowed me to be as he kept calling and sending all kinds of messages that will melt my heart. It is so disheartened, when you have found love and something stand in between the two lovers , l love Sally, my heart bleeds everyday, what can l do to be with the man l lovely as l was whalowing in deep thought, something ministered to me why not open up to him all that you have gone through and how you have made a promise to an unknown lady not to have anything to do with him again, l heard a knock on the door as l went to check it was my love, Tears was on his face as he came in and l could not withstand his tears, he was pleading my heart, my life please don't do this to me you are my source of happiness, this was how l narrated all that happened to me, how l suffered in the han of this evil kidnappers, l told him if for the young man who saw me where l was dumped and out of pity he took me the the hospital and pay my bills, maybe l would have been dead by now and he wept profusely, who could be this prepreator that planned this attack on us, he questioned in a low voice but can not come to the conclusion of whom the lady maybe because his mother has brought so many ladies for him to choose and he objected all..he made every thing possible for me to be fine but l was still under pressure because l don't know whom the enemy was. However, he was trying all he can to put things in other, it is obvious to his family members that he doesn't want any other woman in his life but me and family came up with the ideal of organising a context for him to choose and anyone he chooses it shall be announce to the general public and other ladies should stay a way. His father is a reputable man in the society that people love and obey whenever he talks. Now his parents are the one coming to my family seeking my hands in marriage without minding that l am a low class but because they wanted to do whatsoever that will make their son happy, after much conviction from Sally's family , l began to gain confidence seeing his parents pleading for me to marry their son. Arguably, a contest has been announced in the television, newspapers, social media ,the whole community and even the neighborhood villages, that Sally , the son of the rich man is going to choose who will be his wife and every lady that is interested ladies should come and show case rherbr beauty and the lucky one will be taking to be his wife and no more will the lucky queen be troubled by any other woman, the news was all over the place and my uncle called me and question if l am sure this family will not embarrass us that day by choosing another bride, l replied no to him inside of me l was battling with the same question not because l don't trust Sally but his mother who her desire has been for her son to get married to a graduate, in the midst of this confusion, the voice spoke to me again, do not be afraid because your are at the edge of breakthrough, who are you l questioned but could not get answer from anyone. As the day was approaching, Sally has sent five maidens in my who stayed with me just to prepare me for the context, it is going to be a big occasion and many dignitaries will be present, among the five maidens with me in my house, each of them has special assignment he has sent them to do for me so that l will look so attractive to the people, the maiden that is to take care of the royal robe l will put has taken me to the place where we selected different kinds of beautiful dresses, another one was to take care of what l eat , to be sincere, everything about my look changed automatically and l became like an egg in the hands of those maidens, my people was astonished, even those that look down on me before everyone are now coming close to me because of the sudden change, Few a day to the context, the maiden who was incharge of my hair fixed it both my nails and it was indeed beautiful. The main day of the feast has come and a special car and driver was given to me and two of the maiden who moves around with me even my people has been taken care of as Sally has already make preparations for them. Now a call came from Sally demanding for my arrival, immediately without wasting time the driver drove me to the party venue and l was given a special care as a special room was given to me and the two maidens the moves around with me, it was really a big occasion l never imagine, music were playing and everything where decorated with beautiful colours of decoration materials. l could view things outside from the window of my room as people began to troop in , so many dignitaries were already present. why was l given a special care l questioned looking at other contextant where they were, one of the maiden answered and said it is grace that found , immediately, tears began to flow from my eyes, how l wish l can bring my parents to witness this day, that the daughter of a hunter has gained favour before the rich family and to be honoured before everyone that she is the chosen one as we were talking, Sally called to tell me that my family people has come, he called to let me know so that l will feel more relaxed, and l looked outside and saw my family members and some villagers and l noticed, they were also given special care as Daniel was busy bringing different kind of food and drinks to serve them, l was very excited seeing my people treated well because of me and they were all proud of me. The main deal has started as the MC has began to give opening speech,, Sally has been welcomed to his seat and he has seated like a king , his parents were seated beside him, friends and well wishers who came to grace the occasion has all taking their chairs as well and Daniel his cousin that took me to the hospital was one of his special men, now music was loud all the contestant were getting ready and we were twelve in number, the first was called , she parade before him , and he was not moved, the second came and the same thing happened, so were all the contestant before me , he did not smile nor approved anyone to be his choice untill when it was my turn to come. l was called last , among the eleven contestant that has been called, the truth is the that they all look charming and beautiful even has the qualities his mother was looking for but Sally was not moved by the their beauty. within me l began to have another taught, what exactly is he looking for in a woman, if he can not choose anyone from this eleven queen that has gone before me how are my sure l will be chosen by him. As l was meditating with this thought, l was called and l move out majestically. As l was going to parade before him for him to choose if l was accepted, all of a sudden people started shouting, here comes the queen, here comes the chosen one, who told them that l was the chosen one and l was approaching closer to Sally who has started smiling like a man that win riffle , he was overwhelmed with joy, l see that all over him as he stood up from were he was to embrace me , Tears of joy was flowing from my eyes and we danced straight to his parents and received blessings and his father announced it the whole congregation that Elena had chosen by his son Sally and every other lady should heed to the rules that has already been laid before the the contest that no one should make trouble after any among them has chosen. Other contestant left angrily because luck was not on their side and those that were happy with us stayed back for the main celebration as there was enough food and drinks for everyone to enjoy and merry. this is how l became the chosen one after much contest and l realized that this was the breakthrough l have been told about, grace and mercy has found me, the daughter of a hunter was honoured and celebrated and was no more seen or called a low life. The occasion lasted for the whole day and after the celebration, a date was fixed to them to come and paid my bride, everyone, both great and small within my village was there to witness my traditional marriage right were fulfilled and all were happy happy for me. finally, l was sent to school by my husband , l graduated and become the woman my mother in-law wanted her son to spend the rest of his life with and l was cherished by my husband and everyone in his family and through me my family shame was wiped out totally , no one called us poor again.
