1.2.4 Colton spent two days in the hotel room; at least, he thought it was two days. Bayard and his associate had taken him to a room on the second floor and given him a chance to get a “feel” for where everything was. He stumbled around the room in his blindness, and Bayard helped him comprehend where the bathroom was, where the front door was, where the television was, and ordered him to stay put until he was notified. The blindness would last at least two days—perhaps three—and once the Remnant was certain that his NRNT chip was completely off the grid for good, he could join them at their base. Until that time, Colton was to relax, listen to the television, and keep a low profile, which didn’t seem like a hard thing to do considering that he couldn’t see and didn’t know where he was.
