Chapter 1

In two years

As I worked out with the warriors, drops of perspiration ran down my face. I gave my opponent the cold shoulder and delivered my own attack while dodging his. As soon as he was on the ground, I pounced on him and repeatedly punched him in the face until he submitted.

I advised him to cover his face more because that was the most crucial area to conceal.

He returned my response with, "Yes, Beta Kane."

"Training is over, get ready for dinner and take a shower, everyone. I informed the pack warriors that tomorrow we would be practicing with our wolves.

If there was a threat or invasion of any manner, we would be summoned to packs to assist. Alpha Knight, who was also my best buddy, led one of the most formidable packs in the entire globe.

Before Aiden discovered me on the forest floor on the edge of his pack, I was helpless when I fled from my pack and unable to protect myself. Because he lost his parents when he was a small child and had to assume leadership when he was fifteen, he had a very brief childhood. He brought me, groomed me, and adopted me like if I were his younger sister. After five months of training, I had gained power, and I had fought the previous beta for his position and prevailed.

I made my way to the pack home, where all of the werewolves in leadership roles reside. I entered my room by climbing the stairs, then I went to the bathroom to take a shower. I scrubbed away all the filth that accumulated during my workout as the water drops fell on my body. I have improved greatly in my ability to protect myself over the last two years. I used to be considered weak by my ex-roommate, but no longer. I was strong and powerful, and I shall rain hell on you if you mistreat me.

I dried off after exiting the shower and changed into my clothing. I went to grab the workaholic alpha friend of mine before I walked to the dining hall for dinner. I entered his office and slyly grinned at my strategy for getting him to leave.

I knocked as loudly as I could as I smashed my palms against the door.

I said, "Get out of here, b***h; I'm hungry," and he replied, "Shut up already; I'm coming." He then walked over and opened the door.

I sat down next to Aiden at the head of the table as we made our way to the hallway to sit with the other wolves. While dining in the dining hall with the majority of the pack, we all engaged in conversation. I have never witnessed a group that was so cohesive and close. We used to eat our meals at home in my previous pack rather than all at once. The head of the table is where the alpha, beta, and gamma are always seated. Our gamma is Lukas, and the gamma female Isadora is his expectant mate.

I returned to my room after dinner to rest since we had a long day of training the next day. I went to go brush my teeth in the bathroom and do my night routine when I saw myself in the mirror. Ithad a long training day the following day. When I saw myself in the mirror, I immediately walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth and complete my evening routine. I had to go through a difficult process to come to the realization that I am enough and have value. I underwent a lot of personal transformation, yet I still maintained my tattoos, piercings, and black hair color. I smirked at myself, thinking that instead of the shy, frail girl I had been, I had grown into a much stronger, badder person who didn't take no for an answer.

The following morning I went for my normal exercise and after breakfast I joined the pack warriors for training.

I said to the wolves, "Today we are training with our wolves; first, we will discuss how to shift the fastest when in a fight."

We practiced all day, and because I am a she-wolf and "girls can't fight," many people looked down on me. I detest the fact that women are sometimes more powerful than men, and I always correct sexists when I come across them. My favorite memory was saving the elderly alpha from rogue wolves a few months ago.

Why is your beta female, Alpha Knight? questioned Alpha Ryder. I intervened before Aiden could respond and questioned, "Why can't I be beta is because I am a lady and can't fight. Before turning around maybe, Alpha Ryder, instead of being an oversized sexist pig, you should work on protecting your pack, I mocked. I simply turned and strode away from his chauvinist pig face like a horrible b***h.

Aiden interrupted my train of thought by saying, "COME TO MY OFFICE."

I gave him my own "OK" in return.

I walked to the main office, where Aiden, Lukas, and Javier were already there when I got there. The head pack warrior that assists me in my training is Javier.

I greeted the group and inquired, "What's going on?"

Aiden replied, "A pack needs our assistance against some rogue wolves that are killing some of their pack members.

"How many have passed away, and are there any ties between the deceased members?" I inquired.

Javier responded to me, "Eleven are dead and there is no connection between any, so it is just a killing for fun with these rogues."

"Ok. Who will handle this by going to the pack? I questioned.

"You, Javier, and a select group of warriors. Regarding the Wolves Conference, you can expect to see me there together with Javier and their packs' top leaders, I remarked.

While the other guys regarded the ceiling and wall as the most fascinating things in the world, Aiden gave me a sheepish look.

The question "Which pack?" I questioned once more, growing impatient.

I retorted irritated, "Just tell me which pack, asshole."
