My Fallen Mate

Chapter 2

Before it dawned on me what they had just stated, I glanced at my pack mates in a daze for a few seconds before asking, "Are you f*****g with me?"

Aiden wiped his chin and glared at me apologetically, saying, "Maybe."

I cried out, "I'm not going back there."

Getting on his knees, Aiden began to beg, "Please. You just need to wait there until the Wolves conference, and then you may travel back with us. Furthermore, Javier would be by your side the entire time, allowing you to prove to your former pack that you are a nasty b***h now.

I thought about all the innocent pack members that the rogues had killed as I gazed down into my best friend's eyes. Since I only had issues with the Alpha, they were just regular pack members who did nothing to me. The other option was to return home and see my parents, Medusa, Ember, Onyx, and Ruby, who must have been concerned about me ever since I left.

"All OK, but only for the two weeks they need to train their troops. After that, I'm leaving, and I'll see you at the conference, I told the boys.

Aiden stood up from his knees and, together with the other two guys, gave me a bone-crushing hug. Aiden is correct; I am stronger and the beta for one of the most potent packs, despite the fact that I didn't want to return there. I'm going to prove to that i***t ex-friend that he is no longer weak and that I am better than him.

I asked Aiden when we were going to the Dark Moon.

He responded to me, "Two days."

Tomorrow afternoon, I will send you a list of the tasks I need you to complete there. You and Javier can decide which warriors to take tomorrow, and you can instruct them to pack so that you can go the following day for Dark Moon.

I promptly kicked him in the balls and hurried away, saying, "I better not regret this asshole."

"You b***h," Explained by Aiden.

I said, laughing uncontrollably as I ran away, "That's for not telling me about this before today dumbass." Before Aiden could follow me, I dashed into my room and locked the door.

The following day, Javier and I selected seven pack warriors to accompany us to Dark Moon. Aiden also given me a list of things I needed to complete while working on the pack. The two weeks that followed would be spent preparing their warriors, assisting them in finding the rouges, and devising strategies to keep them away from the pack's territory. After those two weeks, I would go to the Alpha conference to meet with the rest of my pack along with Javier and the Dark Moon high status wolves.

The alpha conference is a gathering of all of the region's alpha, beta, gamma, and head warrior packs to discuss issues that year. Although the royal pack is in our area, they are not required to attend the conference. The alpha of alphas, often known as the king, has not been seen in more than a century. He hasn't left the royal pack lands, which are the largest pack lands in the entire planet. Despite the fact that no one has ever seen him, he is supposed to be a terrible and ruthless person who has no sympathy for those who betray and enrage him. The sole members of the royal pack are lycans, immortal werewolves with enhanced power.

Aiden came into my room the night before I departed for the Dark Moon pack to help me pack.

He remarked, "You know you don't have to do this if you don't want to.

I retorted, "Don't worry, I don't do anything I don't want to.

"I love you Ana, that bastard didn't deserve you, nobody does," he said as he crossed to my side of the room and gave me a hug.

I responded with a grin. I also adore you since you are my family and have shaped who I am today.

He replied, "No, I didn't make you; I just helped the badass you come out."

I chuckled and gave him a gentle armbump.

He grasped his arm with mockery and exclaimed, "Ow. My relationship is abusive.

With my hand raised, I remarked, "You haven't seen anything yet."

Ok, he yelled as he dashed back to the opposite side of the room. Ok. I don't want to lose my balls, so please calm down, lady.

I imagined myself back in my old pack as I was lying in bed. I couldn't wait to visit my family and friends. In addition, I am eager to introduce my ex-friend to the new version of myself that I have developed independently. I went downstairs on the day we leave and went to the dining room for breakfast. We are expected to go for Dark Moon after breakfast. I relished my final lunch with the pack and spent the following two weeks catching up on pack rumors. After breakfast, we boarded the three vehicles that would take us to the Dark Moon. I gave Lukas and Aiden long hugs before getting into the car with Javier and I. They were there for me when I had nothing, and they continue to support me now that I am powerful.

When I climbed into the car, Javier questioned me, "Are you ready for this Ana?"

I grinned and retorted, "Let's show Dark Moon the new and improved Analise Kane."
