I roll over and reach for Beck half expecting him not to be there. He hasn’t been there when I’ve woken up before, but to my surprise he is still laying beside me, awake staring up at the ceiling. I place my hand gently on his chest and he reaches around me and pulls me against him so my head rests on his chest and he places a kiss on the top of my head.
“Good morning.” He whispers warmly.
“Morning. Do you never sleep?” I ask snuggling into him and wrapping my arm tightly around his waist. He has spent the last three nights in my bed now and I have only seen him asleep once. The night that he said he was exhausted after he had rescued me from the rogues.
“Not a lot lately. I can’t switch off and relax.” He confesses and his brows slightly furrow into a small scowl.
“Why not?” I prob
