I felt terrified as I looked out the window silently, watching the night scene outside the bus. According to the man who sold me the bus ticket, he told me that we would arrive in Chicago tomorrow before noon, something that made me even more nervous since the contest would start in the early afternoon, and it worried me to think that I would not be able to get there in time to see and be with Luka. However I had no choice, I had to take a night bus to get to the city, praying that they would not ask us for IDs or that we would pass through a checkpoint. I guess they thought I was of age for having a credit card and all, so when I bought my bus tickets they, fortunately, didn't ask many questions, allowing me to travel at ease.
