Chapter 61🌶️- Nexus Can't Help Himself

Jothan POV

I didn't think that they'd let me do what I really wanted, not right away. I'd wanted it the moment I saw them all on the steps of the pack house. I wanted Anais first of course. She was my queen. After we'd finished our marking, we just laid together in a sort of dogpile, cuddling. Kieran and Erik had kindly let me be next to Anais, seeming to understand that I needed my queen on a different level than my alphas. I reveled in the bond we had. It was crazy how this was just so... right. It also helped me understand why I'd always found the urgent need to train for combat.

I traced my fingers over Anais's mark, which now had a vine running down her left arm from the knotwork to the ring on her finger. The leaves also edged the rest of their marks. It was beautiful, and massive. The space between the crown and wolves' heads in their mark also now contained stars. The same stars trailed larger to smaller down all of our ring fingers from the "ring" to just under the fingernail.

I could feel my elemental pulling at my consciousness, wanting to mate with my mates too. This was not common at all. Elementals normally only mated with other Elementals. My mates obviously don't have them. I'm not sure how he was planning to do it, honestly. It meant that he was binding himself not just to my soul, but theirs. It made us all share a single fate, however that turned out.

"Umm... " I said shyly and three sets of eyes snapped to mine. "Nexus is trying to take over. I'm not exactly what his plan is. Elementals normally breed with others of their kind, not the mates of their human counterparts." I said helplessly. This was so far out of the norm that I wasn't really sure what to tell them. I just knew that at any moment, I was going to be proper shoved into the back of my mind.

You talk too much human, I need to mate with my queen, Nexus growled in my mind. And my alphas, he purred, softening a little. I must protect them, he urged. He seemed to know something I didn't. Elementals were ageless and immortal, simply moving to the next partner if their human side died. In my case, he'd rather carelessly bound his soul to mine completely, meaning he could actually die if I did. Anais patted my hand.

"It's alright Jothan, Nexus is welcomed in our nest, as he called it." Anais reassured me. I took in a deep and shaky breath.

"Alright, my mates, my loves." I said shyly and stood, letting Nexus push me to the back of my mind.

It was odd being able to see, feel and hear everything, yet be a spectator.

Kieran POV

As he transformed, I was very glad I'd gotten vaulted ceilings. I thought the Kodiak was huge? Nothing on this guy. He stood at least eight feet tall, with pitch black eyes and flowing black hair, ironically, much like Anais'. He was massively muscled, though to my eyes, I doubted he moved with anything but fluid grace. He wasn't bulky. His skin looked like marble, but I had a feeling it was both warm and smooth. Leaves and moss sprouted from random places, clearly showing his affinity with plants and the earth. Holy s**t that was quite the, err, manhood he had on him. I actually felt a little nervous. That thing could totally wreck my ass.

Of course, I wasn't trying to, but a giggle leaked out. Everyone's eyes snapped to mine. s**t. Nexus smirked.

"I know you're eager, but my queen must always be the first priority." He said teasingly in that deep, distorted voice of his. He crooked a finger for her to rise. He slowly walked around Anais, his finger trailing along her skin as his eyes devoured her. "As perfect as I always knew you would be." He whispered, his lips landing gently on her shoulder. Not gonna lie, Erik and I had both popped f*****g wood watching them. Look, it is what it is. Mate bonds and all that. Unusual, hell yes, but we were all about it. I told you right? Mossy rock. I'd had no idea at the time that it was going to be nearly literal, but I'm not complaining.

"Do you need us to move from the bed, or?" Erik asked cautiously. While we understood this Elemental wanted all of us, we didn't want to piss him off by asking the wrong thing while his hands were on our naked mate. Suddenly, vines bound us on either side of the bed, leaving the middle open. Oh.

Was that the wrong thing to ask? Erik linked me. I observed the Elemental carefully.

Kier, I love all of you, but that looks like it might wreck us, he lamented, and I nearly giggled again, until I noticed yet another vine sliding up my leg. Uh... It was then that I noticed Nexus' grin. Erik I think we are in trouble. You feel that vine going up your leg?

Nexus POV

I had waited for this for longer than anyone could imagine. My queen was finally here and laid bare before me. The alpha kings were a bonus. Delicious specimens, indeed.
