Whisper of Waves

"Babe! Are you done yet? The cruise is leaving soon," I yelled, glancing back at my boyfriend who are pulling his suitcase with a luggage on top of it. "Are you sure that's all you're bringing?" I ask, alternately looking to his things then back to his eyes. “We’ll be at the sea for almost a month, and that’s all you have? I don’t think we will have enough time to buy you things during land exploration.” He chuckled, “Rlax, love. The cruise will leave by 9 pm. And seventeen nights is all. Besides, I don't think you will be able to wear all those things in your–" he stops glancing at my things. "–three huge suitcase, and a luggage. Yours are practically mountains compared to mine." “I'm not even sure if this is enough." I retorted glancing down to my 'huge suitcases.' "There will be two gala dinner, numerous party, four or more land explorations, swimmings, and such– I can't wear the same thing twice, babe. And what if there's and emergencies? I need extra clothes to–" "Okay, alright. I'm sorry," he crossed our distance and cups my cheeks. "If that's not enough, we'll find time to by you clothes and things," he said emphasizing the 'you' in his words and wiggles my nose with his. "This is your dream vacation, so I want you to have the time of your life." "This will be a special and memorable holiday vacation for the both of us," I said meeting his eyes. "I know," he mumbled, then kissed my forehead in the process. We interlocked our gazed for awhile before he lets go of my head then proceeds to positiong his suitcase back-to-back with one of mine, and did the same for the other two. "Let's go? It's still 4 pm but I guess the earlier, the better so you can still roam around the cruise, even though we'll be there for almost a month." I rolled my eyes from his mocking phrases and tried to snatch my suitcases from him, but he pulls it away from me. "You're already carrying a lot, and it's my things." "Uh huh! And I'm the man." he argued. Scoffing, I started marching, but he exclaimed, "Na-uh!" I look back at him, raising my eyebrows in confusion. "There's still one more thing I need to bring." "What?" He nodded while looking to my suitcase then back to me. "What am I? A child?" "No," he shakes his head aggresively. "You are a baby." He leans forward next to my ears. "My baby." I stepped back surprised to what he just stated and he straigten his stance with a grin in his face. "You're really shameless. There's people around!" I scolded in a low tone, looking at our surroundings. "Sure sure. Those few guards and staffs are people indeed," he states, still with a grin. "Now if you may, my baby," he said, mouthing the last two words. I jokingly rolled my eyes and act forced as I sit on my suitcase. Once I'm comfortable and properly sitted, he then shouts, "Adventure!" I released laughed as we moved through the hallway and raises my hand cheering "Yey!" Growing up, I always dreamt of a luxurious cruise vacation. Now, three years into our relationship, it was finally happening. Clayne, my rock, my best friend, my love... he was by my side. Through thick and thin, he'd been there for me. This trip, I vowed, would be the beginning of an incredible future together.
