"Does he feel our mate bond at all?!"
Jack never wished for a mate.
The idea of a female wolf - particularly one he had not chosen himself -coming into his life and taking control of him through the power of the "mate bond," was unappealing to say the least.
But the Moon Goddess was either out to get him or just plain sadistic.
Because the very day he returned from Christmas break in his last year in high school, in walked his mate, into his classroom and into his life. But it wasn't a clinging female wolf. It wasn't a werewolf at all! How could the Moon Goddess do this to him? How could his mate possibly be someone whom he'd known for the last three years but never gave a second glance to: the small, bespeckled, grim-faced science teacher known only to him as Mr. Whyte.
And what is worse--Oh yes, it gets worse-- No matter how Jack went about trying to break through that icy facade, his teacher kept him calmly at arm's distance at all times. Much to Jack's utter frustration, Mr. Whyte wasn't affected by the mate bond at all.
...Or was he?
