"Never did I imagine I would become the most esteemed woman of the Red Moon Pack," Coco raised her head to the sky, her eyes filled with complexity.

Coco lost her mother early, and three years later her father brought home a new mother for her. Her nightmares began from that moment.

Cold, suffocating, Coco felt like a stranger in her own home. However, everything changed completely when Coco inadvertently saved Luna Rebveca, the most powerful woman of the Red Moon Pack.

Circumstances led Coco to become Luna Rebveca's daughter-in-law. However, her husband was a vegetarian.

Becoming the leading woman of a Pack, Coco's life turned a new page. She was drawn into power struggles and faced the hatred and sabotage of those she once considered "family".

In her journey to maturity, Coco found love in her vegetarian husband and also realized many truths she had never noticed before.

"I know, whatever happens, you'll always be behind me protecting me. You are my true family!"

Chapter 1:
“Finally, it’s over!” Coco glanced at her old wristwatch; it was almost six in the evening. She had worked nearly ten hours today. The afternoon was fading, with the last rays of the day gently caressing the low branches of the trees along the roadside. Coco leaned against a traffic light post, eyes closed, trying to shake off the fatigue of a long day. She had just finished her internship shift at a design company. As the forty-second red light ended, Coco stretched and prepared to cross the street. At that moment, a terrifying scene on the opposite side caught her attention. A woman, around forty years old, was staggering, slowly heading forward. She seemed unaware that she was approaching an open access hole under construction. “Watch out!” Coco instinctively shouted and dashed forward. Her heart felt like it was leaping out of her chest. She ran across the bustling street, heedless of the traffic. Coco didn’t know what she was thinking; she just knew she had to save that woman. “Please, let nothing happen!” Coco prayed as she ran. Though the woman was a stranger, Coco couldn’t stand by and watch her get hurt. Her conscience wouldn’t allow it; she knew she would live in guilt for the rest of her life if something happened to the woman. Through the roaring traffic, Coco finally grasped the woman’s coat. Seconds later, the woman would have fallen into the manhole. Coco pulled her back, and they both fell onto the street, with Coco’s knees scraping against the asphalt, creating a large abrasion. “Wake up, wake up!” Coco shook the limp body of the woman lying on the ground. There was no response, and the woman’s stillness terrified Coco. Her beautiful face paled with fear as the woman convulsed, white foam bubbling from her mouth. Desperately, Coco looked around for help. Bystanders had formed a large circle, but they all avoided her gaze. Nobody desired involvement in this troublesome situation. They didn’t know the woman, and if something went wrong, her family might come after them. It was safer to pretend they saw nothing. “Little girl, don’t blame us for not helping. None of us here have medical knowledge; what if we accidentally kill her?” an honest old man voiced. “The best we can do is call an ambulance.” Facing the indifferent crowd, Coco was at a loss for words. If someone didn’t help the woman immediately, she might not survive until the ambulance arrived. I’ll have to risk it! Thinking about this, Coco quickly unbuttoned the top three buttons of the woman’s shirt and turned her face-up. From her observations, the woman’s symptoms resembled a stroke. Using the first aid knowledge she learned in college, Coco began administering aid. The ambulance arrived after approximately three minutes. The sound of the ambulance siren was a beacon of hope for Coco. Medical personnel loaded the woman into the ambulance. “Are you a relative of the patient?” “Yes, that’s me!” Coco replied, wanting to follow and ensure the woman’s condition. “Then get on the ambulance!” the medic instructed. Coco quickly complied. Within ten minutes, the woman was taken to the hospital and quickly brought to the emergency room. As the doors closed, Coco’s emotions grew complex. Now, she could only wait and pray. “The patient’s family can visit now; she’s stable.” The treating doctor emerged, sweat beading on his forehead. “It’s a good thing she received timely first aid; otherwise, not even a miracle could have saved her.” Coco thanked the doctor profusely and ran into the room. The middle-aged woman lay on the bed, gazing out the window. “Are you alright?” Coco tentatively approached. “Thank you. I know you saved me.” The woman turned to Coco with a kind smile. “You’re so beautiful!” Coco exclaimed, unable to contain herself. Facing her was a woman over forty with a timeless beauty. Her skin was as white as snow, her eyes like doves, and her brown hair flowed gracefully. Every gesture exuded an unmatched elegance and nobility. “Thank you. I know you saved me.” “It was nothing. Anyone else would have done the same,” Coco hastily replied. Coco was looked at by the woman once more, her clear eyes expressing a profound comprehension. “Not necessarily, young lady.” If it were someone else, they might not have risked themselves to save a stranger. Coco’s actions and her eyes revealed her kind-hearted nature. “Oh, you can call me Rebveca.” “And I’m Coco.” Coco replied, carefully tucking the blanket around Rebveca. “Coco, would you like to be my daughter-in-law?” The woman’s tone suddenly changed, her eyes becoming sharp. She no longer seemed like someone who had just escaped death, but someone calculating. Coco was stunned, unable to believe her ears. Who suggests this on our first encounter? Even if she wanted to repay the life-saving debt, it didn’t cause tying her son’s life to hers. If not for Rebveca’s sharp gaze, Coco would have thought she was delirious. “There’s no need to look at me like that. I have two things to tell you: first, I am very lucid; second, what I just said is an opportunity for you.” Rebveca seemed to read Coco’s mind, speaking slowly but firmly. “Your son should decide on a lifelong marriage. He might not like me, and I’ve never met him. I don’t understand why you call this an opportunity, but I don’t see it that way. Opportunity was never the focus of my marriage.” “But what if I told you I am Luna Rebveca, and my son is Alpha Ricard?” “What!” Coco gasped, covering her mouth. The revelation was shocking. She had just saved Luna Rebveca, one of the most powerful women in the world. And the son she was to marry was Alpha Ricard—the strongest Alpha. Now, she understood why Rebveca called it an opportunity. Rebveca was offering her the position of the most prestigious woman in the land. “white fur pack. Do you want to become the mistress of the white fur pack?” Coco was dizzy at the mention of the name. Red Moon Pack was the strongest pack in the world, a place she thought only existed in legends. “Coco, I truly like you and want you as my daughter-in-law. However, there’s something I must tell you. My son, the Alpha of Red Moon Pack, became a vegetative state after an accident three years ago.” Rebveca looked out the window, her eyes reflecting past sorrows. This marriage proposal wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision. Her husband had been a leading Alpha, and her son too. She wanted the next Alpha to carry the family bloodline. When her beloved son fell, one of her concerns was ensuring a successor. Naturally, her son needed a wife. Coco was the chosen one. “I know marrying a vegetative person is a great sacrifice. But in return, you will have everything—wealth and fame. You can trust I don’t make empty promises. Since my son’s condition, I’ve held the political power in the Pack, effectively acting as the Alpha for three years. Do you know what that means?” “What does it mean?” “It means I don’t make empty promises. If you agree, you will become the most noble and powerful woman in the white fur pack.” Rebveca spoke gently but firmly, exuding supreme authority. “I refuse!” Coco immediately rejected the proposal. Not because she feared deception, but because she already had a boyfriend, and they were about to get married. Abandoning him for power would make her the worst person in the world. Rebveca was surprised by Coco’s answer but quickly smiled. “That’s fine. Take your time to think it over.” Rebveca said, placing a business card in Coco’s coat pocket. It was dusk. Seeing that Rebveca was no longer in danger, Coco bid her farewell and head home. Throughout the journey, Rebveca’s words echoed in her mind. Money and power were tempting, especially for someone who struggled daily for meager wages. But she had a partner who had been with her since college. She couldn’t, and didn’t want to, abandon him. Besides, with her status, she wasn’t suitable for Alpha Ricard, and it would affect his strength. Lost in thought, she found herself at her boyfriend’s house. “Maybe a surprise visit will be nice!” Coco thought, gathering her spirits before entering. However, her steps slowed and then halted as strange sounds emerged from inside. A man breathed heavily while a woman moaned constantly. Coco’s body trembled uncontrollably, her heart skipping a beat. She knew what those sounds meant. Slowly, she moved forward. She witnessed it all through the living room door c***k. The boyfriend she deeply loved and trusted was engaging in a disgraceful act with her half-sister. The betrayal’s pain left her speechless.
