"Oh my God! Am I still alive?" Ronald shouted after waking up from his stupor. He quickly got up and removed the debris from the jet airplanes' bodies at his feet. Observing the surrounding fog, he realized that he was on top of a mountain. His body shivered from the cold as the wind blew.
"Help! I need help! Is there someone who can hear me?"
The atmosphere remained silent. His loud cries were in vain.
In his silence, Ronald recalled the events before the crash. Bad weather and thick fog blocked the pilot's view. So the pilot gave an advance command to the passengers to get ready to save themselves.
Seeing his current condition, Ronald felt grateful. For him, this is a miracle for other victims. The jet airplane belonged to the company he worked for that was going on an excursion. So, there were nineteen passengers on board.
"I'm really lucky. But, am I the only one who survived?"
Ronald noticed the cadet-75 parachute vest he was wearing. It made him think it was the thing that saved him. The vest was provided by the office for the safety of traveling by air. But, he didn't know how many people were wearing it before the accident.
He looked around, there were no humans other than him. Then he walked towards the wreckage of the jet airplanes. His foot accidentally stepped on a pool of blood. After realizing it, he quickly moved away.
Ronald turned his gaze to the distance. He saw a person lying on his stomach on the bank of a small river about ten meters from where he was standing. Judging by the color of her blonde hair, he guessed that it was a woman he knew.
He quickly approached the person. As his steps got closer, his guess was right, that it was Audrey. Audrey was the Director of the company he worked for. He had long admired her. His position as an ordinary employee made him feel inappropriate for her.
In the company, Audrey was famous for her cold character. Usually everyone in the company was reluctant to talk to her.
But the sight this time made Ronald transfixed. The skirt Audrey was wearing was up. It made the curves of Audrey's back and body perfectly exposed.
Ronald clearly saw Audrey's panties drifting in the river. He suspected Audrey was wearing strappy panties that could easily come off if caught on something. So, there was nothing to cover the mound of white flesh beneath the girl's back.
Ronald's eyes couldn't look away from the sight. Staring at it for too long made him tempted. He could only gulp. His mind was currently engrossed in shaking those two mounds of flesh with both hands.
"Oh my! What did I just think of?" Ronald came to his senses and slapped his cheeks. He tried to get rid of the dirty thoughts. Right now, all he had to do was help Audrey, who was still unconscious.
Ronald quickly pulled down Audrey's skirt and turned her around. Suddenly, anger surfaced at the sight of the woman's face.
It was due to Audrey's urging to join the company outing because he would be made a maid during the vacation. If he agreed, his position would be promoted. He should have refused the offer. If not for her insistence, perhaps he wouldn't have had that terrible accident.
Before taking action, Ronald took a deep breath. He intended to administer artificial respiration. After the air had collected in his chest cavity, he brought his nose closer to Audrey's nose.
Just as he was about to administer artificial respiration, Audrey suddenly opened her eyes. The girl pushed her body hard.
"Ronald! What are you going to do to me, you pervert!"
"Wait! It's not what you think. I can explain everything." Before Ronald could continue, Audrey slapped his cheek.
"Feel that! How dare you kiss me?" Audrey immediately lifted Ronald's chin while glaring. "Don't even think you can do it!" She looked like an angry tiger.
Ronald's mouth opened as if he was going to retaliate. But there was no chance for him to explain. He realized that Audrey was basically a woman who did not want to be defeated in an argument.
"Right, what Jerry said is that you don't deserve to be promoted! Get out of my sight right now!" Audrey's voice sounded loud and angry.
Robert's brows furrowed. He had run out of way and finally had to push Audrey to the ground. "Just so you know! I just want to save you! One more thing, don't mention Jerry's name in front of me! Because that arrogant man is not a human, but a demon!"
Jerry was an arrogant manager. In the company, he was notorious for disliking when any of his subordinates were about to be promoted.
Ronald knew that Jerry disliked him from the moment he heard that news. So, he was often bullied by him.
Audrey's facial expression now turned surprised. She didn't expect Ronald to be so rude. It was only when her gaze turned towards the wreckage of the jet airplane that she understood.
“Ronald, forget about that problem. Indeed, it has become your duty to me. Because I'm paying you, and I'm going to upgrade your position.” Audrey said smugly.
Ronald snorted, “Oh, I see. However, it's all nothing compared to your life here. It feels unfair if you only give me that. So, I will have to leave you here alone.”
Hearing Ronald's threat scared Audrey, “How dare you say that!”
“This mountain is very lonely, there is no sign of human life other than us. If something happens to you, who will help? So, think carefully, my words are in a matter of three seconds.”
Ronald turned around and walked quickly, leaving Audrey alone.
Audrey's body suddenly trembled. She thought about what Ronald had said. She ran to catch up with him. But she fell and twisted her leg. “Ronald! Are you crazy, leaving a woman alone on a mountain?”
Ronald stopped his steps and turned around. He panicked as he saw Audrey lying on the ground. He quickly approached the girl. “Didn't I make you an offer?”
"Okay! What else are you asking for? Audrey's tone was loud and rude.
Ronald's mind suddenly flashed with a joke idea. “I just want you to apologize to me. It's not that hard, right? But, the tone must say your name and the words sincerely apologize.”
Hearing this made Audrey gape. All this time, her attitude was almost the same as Jerry, who was reluctant to apologize at first. But because the situation was urgent, she relented, “Okay, on behalf of Audrey Florencia, I apologize to Ronald Thomson sincerely.”
Ronald's lips burst into laughter. After that, he carried the shivering Audrey in his arms. It had gotten colder on the mountain after nightfall.
Audrey felt uncomfortable. She protested, “You!”
“Shut up!” Ronald interrupted her. “Be calm. I just want to help you because your leg looks swollen. Don't think anything strange.”
Ronald watched Audrey fall silent. He knew that she thought he was taking advantage of an opportunity. He didn't care about that.
The most important thing for Ronald right now was to find a safe place to spend the night. Relying on the matches in his pocket, he planned to make a bonfire. The road was dark, although there was a little moonlight.
Suddenly, Ronald's foot tripped over a rock, and he almost fell. Reflexively, both hands embraced Audrey's body.
“Me letting you carry me doesn't mean you're free to hug me! Your mind is a pervert!" Audrey said angrily.
