CHAPTER TEN

I walked closely behind my parents across the hallway towards the dining room which was downstairs.
The dining room was set up with different kinds of food. Seated across the dining room was a middle aged man about my dad's age, a beautiful woman about my mom's age, she really resembled Bruce. And when I turned on the other side my eyes landed on none other than Bruce, the guys we had just kissed a few moments earlier, i was weighing in between smiling ,calling his name, i was surprised.
"Welcome to my humble home" my dad said as he greeted both of them
"We are humbled Mr Morton" Dr Stone Clark said as he exchanged hands with my dad
"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting but feel at home". Mom said and Mrs Stone smiled reassuringly
"Oh no problem Mrs Morton ,we were ushered in so well you don't have to worry about that"
We both sat at the dining table, Eileen joined us a few minutes later and after a short prayer which was said by mom we both got ready to serve dinner.
"So Dr Stone,this is my family, on my right is Brianna Morton my first born daughter and on the left is my second born daughter Eileen Morton, my wife Valerie Morton just small like i always told you" my dad introduced us
"Nice to meet y'all, with me here is my wife Whitney Stone, my only child and son Bruce Stone Clark, and i can see Brianna has really grown into a beautiful young woman, which level of education are you Brianna?"
"I'm to join my final year in high school come next year sir" i said as i tried to act normal
"No just call me Dr Stone, that's good my dear study hard" he said and Bruce gave me a brief smile, i was really trying hard to act normal coz his presence always made me uncomfortable, the flutters in my stomach and the goosebumps were just something else.
Dad and Dr Stone continued chatting business matter as my mom and Mrs Valerie talked about women stuff and business.
"So Brianna like we had earlier told you, this is Bruce the one we told you about, we merged our two companies and as per the agreement on the contract, we were to marry our first bornes and we thought this is the right time for you guys to get to know each other before the engagement" my dad said breaking the silence that had ensued
"Yeah Bruce son, this is Brianna Morton the girl i talked to you about, i hope you get along because this is the most crucial part in both of our companies, we wanted to keep the companies between us like family"
"Yeah dad, i know her" Bruce said and i almost gasped, i thought he would keep that a little secret between us but to my utter surprise, the guy couldn't keep it to himself
"Ooh really since when and we just came in earlier today?"
"We actually bumped into each other, she was with Ruby, she happens to be best friends with her, so i got to know her before here, and I'm glad she's the one"
"Really and what does that mean?" His mother chirped in
"I like her mom, she's a nice girl, ain't she?" Bruce said and i face palmed myself, the guys really had guys
"Seems they both do" Eileen said and i gave her a death glare but she smiled and gave me the 'what?' look
"Ooh really seems you guys have already known each other, Eileen what do you mean by they both do" my mom asked and everyone at the table smiled
"She told me earlier mom"
"Wow!" My mom said and everyone burst into laughter
"Eileen!" I called her name and she gave me the innocent look, i tried to act comfortable but i was really failing
"Guys I'll be back" i said as i pulled my chair behind and walked upstairs to my room
I inhaled deeply as i sat on my bed, i removed my heels and plopped myself on the bed.
I took my phone from my handbag and switched it on, i decided to log in my perfect match account and i found my stranger offline,almost 6hours earlier,i got bored and i decided to open my w******p and texted Ruby.
Me: Guess who is my husband today?
Ruby: husband what do you mean by that?
Me: apparently I'm engaged to someone i didn't expect, family agreement
Ruby: What?! Wait you mean to tell me you are in some kind of an arranged marriage?
Me: Yeah that's the latest news
Ruby: wow! So how did you take in the news?
Me: it's a guy i have a crush on and i told my sister about it, but she said it in front of all those people i couldn't stand in so i came in my room
Ruby: What! So was it a dinner or what?
Me: Yeah
Ruby: and you didn't tell me you had a secret crush on someone, you told your sister what are friends for Bree?
Me:. Family first b***h!
Ruby: I'm also family huh?
Me: relax honey i was to tell you first thing tomorrow but everything just happened so fast
Ruby: so who's the lucky guy?
Me: you wouldn't believe if i told you, i want you to guess
Ruby: you've never told me about any secret crush so the guy is probably someone you've met recently, wait?
Me: What?!
Ruby: don't tell me it's what I'm thinking, Bruce left with his parents for a dinner at his friend's, so is he the one?
Me: your guess is right, Bruce apparently is the guy I'm engaged to.
Before she could reply, i heard a knock on my door and I quickly logged off. I walked to my door and to my utter surprise, Bruce stood there looking all handsome in a dark grey suit and black official shoes. He looked at me and I looked at him, we started at each other for a whole one minute before I looked down, feeling all shy.
"Relax baby, why you all shy now"
"Nothing, what do you want?" I asked him avoiding the question he had previously asked
"You " he said and pushed himself in the room leaving me standing at the door
"What do you mean by me?" I asked feigning innocence
"What do I mean by i want you, it's all clear Brianna even a small nursery kid knows the meaning don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about" he said and I smiled looking at him
"I'm innocent of course, anyway why did you come upstairs?" I asked as I made myself comfortable on the couch
"To check on you, you left the table and you hadn't come back after ten minutes i figured out my fiancee needed some company"
"We are not yet fiancees, not yet engaged just call me by my name"
"But I'm glad it's you, i had a crush on you the moment I spotted you, and God heard my prayers, I'm gonna make you mine and I'm gonna fight for you Brianna" he said sounding serious and I felt my heart flutter and my stack did some magical somersaults
"It's okay Bruce, i was busy before you came"
"Stop acting all rude Brianna i know you like me too from what your little sister said it's all clear in your eyes, i think for me it was love on the first sight, i love you Brianna" he said as he moved close to where I was seated, his presence made me loose control, i knew I was supposed to move but I was glued on the couch like i had no legs to move, he moved his hands close to mine and held them together, he moved his lips close to mine but I did nothing to stop him, instead i stayed glued waiting for his lips to touch mine, he brushed his lips slightly on mine and I inhaled deeply
"You see? You can't deny those feelings Brianna it's clear that we both hungry for each other ,we both love each other, i mean you turn me on, you make me feel like my world has just stopped and I don't know what else,it's just you and me in the whole world, and when I see those luscious lips of yours i just wanna kiss them like whole damn life depends on it, you'll be the death of me, please Brianna let me show you love, let me love you, give me space in your life to show you how much I love you" he pleaded with me and I saw nothing else in the room except his lips, i wanted him to kiss me but it was like he was seeking my permission, i couldn't wait any longer, i crushed my lips on his and he didn't disappoint either he kissed me back with all his might, we were kissing like hungry lions, like our whole life was depended on it. Suddenly the door flew open and i heard a mighty gasp from whoever was at the door
"Holy s**t! Brianna!"
