Alpha's Supposed Bride

Bonita Noir's POV "Thank you! Thank you so much!" With gratitude and a smile on my face, I acknowledged the warden as we waved him goodbye and left the station. The sun shone brightly that beautiful morning, the morning of my release from prison after spending two sorrowful years there. Seeing and holding my mate once more, was what kept me going all this time. I gazed at my cousin Dimitri, with an unexplainable joy in my heart. "It's been two years Dimitri, just like yesterday when I was thrown in here after our inter-pack mating ceremony. It feels so good to be out of there." He let out a subtle smile and rubbed my hair. Dad, Mum, and everyone hated and despised me, not just because of my inability to shift but also because of the things I had done for love. With Dimitri's help, I stepped into the bus and sat beside the window with a smile on my face. I was eager to go home and be with the one my heart yearned for. We alighted the bus and intertwined our hands before taking the long path that led to the pack. I smiled sheepishly as we embarked on the journey together. Staring at Dimitri with puppy dog eyes, I quickly shot a question at him, while expecting an exciting answer. "Dimitri? Are we still miles away from home?" "Hang in there Bunny, we're still far from our destination." Disappointment quickly flashed through my face as I felt turmoil within me. A lot of what-ifs filled my mind as my fantasies came crashing before me. At sunset, we arrived at a compound filled with colorful trees and fruits. A sense of familiarity enveloped me as I soon recognized the pack as the Demonic Moon Pack, my home. It has been only two years but most of the women and children I saw all looked different. I found it hard to recognize the babies at the time of my arrest, they were all grown up already. Time flew too fast. As we walked further in, I couldn't help but recognize the luxurious castle that stood behind most of the houses in the pack. The royal palace was still as magnificent as ever with beautiful ornamental plants surrounding it. Feeling a surge of strength and a deep hunger beneath, I paused In my tracks and gazed at my cousin. "Already? Is that what you want to do?" Dimitri asked calmly as he could see through me. A weak smile flashed through my face as I nodded in affirmation and sped off without getting any approval from him. Looking shabby and tattered, I slowly arrived at the palace and made for the back stairs where no one would see me. It seemed as though everyone was busy with something as the hallway leading to the Alpha's chamber was void of people. I walked further inside and sighted his room door. An influx of emotions overwhelmed me as I stared at the door. The time I had been waiting for was finally here. I quickly looked at the ceiling and silently thanked the moon goddess for remembering me. Without warning, I pushed the door and saw a breathtaking figure seated on the bed, with his back facing me and his eyes fixated on the window. I quickly shut the door and remained unmoving. Tears streamed down my eyes as I slowly approached the one I had been longing to meet. "Bonita?" Alpha Jon uttered as our eyes locked together. The look on his face softened at the sight of my ever-flowing tears. With a shaky voice and a weak smile, I replied to him in the warmest way ever. "Mate" Alpha Jon advanced towards me and placed his hands in mine, as he tenderly wiped my face. "It's been long my love. The thought of meeting you again was what kept me going" "I know it's not been easy for you as well..." Alpha Jon cut me off in my statement as his soft lips rested on mine. His hands rummaged through my body as he gently placed me on the bed. Our bodies collided as we had a passionate night of intense lovemaking. Fate was cruel but the lost two years were nothing compared to the pleasure that came from his touch. My eyes flung open as the morning sun shone brightly on my face, piercing my sleep and waking me up from a beautiful night. As I stared at my bare self wrapped in the sheets, a smile crept up on my face as images of the past night clouded my mind. I quickly showered and got dressed, ready to familiarize myself with everyone and everything in the palace. Going down to the first floor, I noticed a wide door that was left ajar. Filled with curiosity, I checked it out and saw a beautifully decorated hall. It looked as though a wedding was about to take place. The four-step wedding cake stood pretty at the front of the hall, beside the elegantly decorated couple seats. At the other side of the door was where the buffet was kept alongside the visitor's seats and tables. I stared at the long red carpet that ran across the hall from the cake stand to the entrance door of the hall. Looking up, there were writings of a "Happy married life" boldly written on paper. Excitement enveloped me as I left the hall and heard a few people whispering about Alpha Jon's wedding. In a jiffy, I dashed into the royal dressing room and cladded myself in a long white gown that was beautifully decorated with flowers at the hem. I dashed back to the hall and was elated to see my Alpha, standing at the front of the hall with a broad smile on his face even after sighting me. Amidst the tons of people in the hall, I majestically walked towards Alpha Jon with a smile on my face. Eventually, I got to him but his gaze was still fixated at the door. To my surprise, a standing ovation took place as the main queen of the event slowly came in. I stared at my Alpha, his smile broadened at the sight of her, to my detriment. I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces as she took him by the hand and stood beside me while gawking at me with disdain in her eyes. "Get rid of her at once!" I could hear his mother's voice audibly from behind the couple's seat. For the first time since I got there, Alpha Jon gazed at me. "Bonita Noir? I Alpha Jon Charles reject you as my Mate and Luna!"
