Chapter One: The meeting
Red tiny roses fell on the bench which was under a tree at the school relaxation centre. I took my handkerchief to clean so I could sit, when I saw a different hand cleaning the bench. To behold was a tall guy whose appearance was comely. He said hello with a husked voice and I didn't reply but rather gave a smile. Hey beautiful! My name is zahir, he said. What is yours, he asked. I am Margaret but you can call me Maggie for short. I replied. Maggie, can you be my friend, he chuckled and I smiled. He was surprised because I have been smiling to all his questions. And he said, are you always smiling to people or it's just me? I said, maybe smiling to you is the best answer to some questions. I checked my clock, it was almost time for my second class. I told him, I had to go, I am running late for class and he insisted on walking me down to the lecture hall and waved goodbye. Getting into the hall, I tried to settle down when I heard a voice saying; The lecturer has cancelled the class for today due to some personal reasons. He sincerely apologised and promised to make up for the lost hours. Zahir just spoke as the class representative, I muttered.
