I slowly get out off Frank's car and sigh as I look at that English castle that I have made my empire.I start walking towards it,my poker face in place but my mind is calculating, planning how I am going to assert my dominance today.This is my empire after all. "Good morning,babe."He says and kisses me.I know that I am attracted to Liam but I don't think that I love him but I do like him.Our relationship is a means to an end,a deal to make our parents happy.Our parents are happy they get off our backs. "I call bullshit.We both know that we despise.each other.What do you really want?"I don't know what Ares is thinking but whatever it is,I don't like it.He starts inching closer to me until I have my back against the wall. "What are you doing?"I ask as he looks into my eyes,his hands on either side of the wall,close to my head,trapping me. "What if I changed my mind?"he says,something foreign and dangerous in his eyes. "What are you on about?"my voice betrays me,coming out as a mere stutter. "What if I want to seduce the princess?" ************ "Good evening,Mom."I say and hug my mother.She is with a Frenchman I have never seen her with before. "Oh my,Neveah!You look beautiful!"she says and holds my shoulders to look at me. "I am your daughter after all."I say and sit.Liam sits next to me. "Mom,you remember my boyfriend Liam right?"I say and she nods. "Of course.How is your father doing dear?"she asks and the attention shifts to Liam.This is how it always is with my Mom.She never asks about me and when she does,it's always so she can attack Dad. I feel tears welling up in my eyes.No.Not now,Nevaeh,not here.I chide myself for showing weakness.I can not be weak. "Excuse me,I need to go touch up my makeup."I say and as gracefully as I can,walk out of the restaurant.I find a corner and just take a deep breath.That must be a trigger because the waterworks start coming and rapidly.I close my eyes and just give in.I feel a soft hand wiping away my tears. "You will not do that.Not now,not ever."I open my eyes to see Ares. "What are you doing here?"I ask slowly. "You are mine,Heaven.I will not let you ruin what's mine."He pulls me towards his car. "What are you doing?"I ask as I pull my hand out of his.Ares does not act like this with me.It's not the kind of relationship we have. "Come on,Nevaeh.We both know you don't want to be in there.Come with me."he says and I just stare at him like he grew another head. "I don't want to be alone with you either."I deadpan and he scoffs, stepping closer to me. "We can do this in two ways,Princess."He drawls,eerily calm.I scoff and try to look away but he catches my chin in his palm,making me look at him. "One, you come with me, willingly."he says casually,replacing his hands in his pockets. "What's the second way?"I ask because I am not leaving this place with Ares. "Or,I carry you to my car."he says as casually as if he asked me to choose between black and pink.I scoff again,he's incredulous. "But one thing is for sure,Princess.You are leaving this place with me."he says the last part with such certainty I almost want to do what he wants.Almost. "Not going to happen.Liam will take me home."I sneer and start walking away.Before I can fully formulate my next snarky remark,I'm swept off my feet and thrust over Ares' shoulder.I scream and try to fight my way out of his grip. "Put me down,you goof!"I scream but he ignores me and keeps walking to his car.He opens the door and practically throws me onto the seat.
