Apollo opened his tiny eyes, seeing the world for the first time. What was this? It was cold, and loud, unlike his previous home. His previous one was warm, and mostly quiet, except the soft voice of his mother. His mother? How did he know who she was? And yet he knew well who she was. Apollo dragged his tiny body, looking for his mother, everything was dark, but Apollo didn't mind the dark so much. He had lived with it for quite awhile. then he heard a voice, a familiar one.
"It's almost winter, and he is so tiny. how do you expect him to survive? I'm worried..." A voice said, Apollo could tell it was Mother's.
Another voice responded, "Everything will be fine Sunna. I'm worried too." The Voice sighed.
The room went quiet for a bit until Apollo heard a third voice, it was much higher pitched than Mother or the second's voice. It was full of wonder and questions. `"Whoa... is that my little brother? What's his name? Does he have a name yet? Can I name him?" The high pitched voice stopped.
"Now, now Atlas. we have a name for him. We are gonna call him Apollo." Said Mother's voice. It was so loving and soft, softer than the second voice, and softer than the high pitched one. it was nice, and rather soothing. Apollo liked the name it choose.
The second voice chimed in. "Atlas, why don't you get to bed now? I'll have to go hunting in the morning, and I want to bring you to watch."
There was a thumping noise, and the high pitched voice was all jittery and loud. "Wowza! I'll get to go with you! I can't wait! I'll go to bed right away!" There was some more thumping noises and then it settled down.
Apollo whimpered, he didn't know why he had whimpered. Maybe it was the weird feeling in his stomach that caused him to whine. Apollo felt like he had no control over his tiny body. The weird feeling in his stomach wasn't pleasant, but it could be worse. Not that he knew it at the time though. He crawled around some more till he found something. He didn't know what it was, but it produced something delicious and warm, it trickled down his throat, and the weird feeling in his stomach started to go away. Apollo felt something large and slightly wet, go all along his tiny body, spreading warmth and life into it. He did a tiny sigh, and leaned against his Mother's warm fur, falling asleep quickly, with the weird feeling gone from his belly.
