Chapter 4 Adam was running late when he pushed into the coffee shop at nearly half-past eleven. Charlie was already in the corner booth, looking well-scrubbed and happy, talking to a man dressed in a dark gray apron, the logo of the shop across its chest. Being flirted with from the looks of it, but Charlie had never been good at picking up the more subtle cues. Adam held back a laugh.
