Chapter 14Evelyn “No! Please…I’m sorry! Don’t…please…” A hand touched her arm, and with a gasp Evelyn forced her eyes open. Cory was perched at the very edge of her mattress. In the faint light coming through the window, Evelyn could just make out the familiar silhouette. Cory’s posture was one of concern and it was her hand that had gently woken Evelyn. Not caring that she was drenched in sweat and still shaking, Evelyn blindly reached for her, pulling her closer and holding on tight.
