My little Mate

Chapter 3

Gabriel’s POV

    As always I woke up in a sweat puddle and kind of confused I just sat up and thought it was all a dream. I mind linked my beta to tell him I would be out for the day to see Ariel and he was in charge till I got back.

         I don’t really like her but she does quench that desire to f**k. I’ve been waiting for my mate for over 20 yrs and all but gave up and honestly I need someone by my side in order to take over the throne. She doesn’t know about me but once I marry her I will tell her hopefully she will come around since she will be my chosen mate and queen. She’s sweet and caring so she has the qualities to lead so I think but we will show her how it’s done properly.

     I take a shower and get dressed and leave in my truck to see her. 

     I get to Wendy’s since she is the manager there and when I enter my wolf is stirring and anxious but I can’t understand what he’s saying. I go to her office and a honeysuckle and strawberries scent hits me and before I know it she turns around from counting money and has this confused look and asks me “who are you I’ve never seen you before” I just looked at her and said “what is to you” I was still trying to figure it all out when my wolf Lucian told me that’s her that’s mate mate and I was stunned. 

She didn’t look to happy and hurt by the way I talked to her but as I was about to apologize when Ariel came in and brought me to a hug and kiss and my wolf was screaming at me “i***t get this b***h off and follow our mate for Christ sake” and I just closed the link before he kept on nagging. 

I kept my self busy while she did something and then she asked me to follow her and she all but surprised me by saying “ As all of you may know I'm getting married and this young fellow here is the lucky man that agreed to marry me and I'm going to leave Scarlett in charge since she is the best qualified.” As I was looking around to see if I see her beautiful face that robbed my heart that very moment I knew she was my mate, I found her and she huffed in annoyance and that’s when I realized her name was Scarlett. 

I was mesmerized by her but all too soon I got a call. 

I rushed to her office and took the call. “Hey son so I heard your marrying that price of s**t girl that you introduced to us” and I could only roll my eyes and said “Dad I don’t know anymore I think I found my mate but she’s a human” He scoffed and said “reject her and don’t marry if it’s the crown you want I will hand it to you it was my stipulation I put because I thought you would pick a good she wolf to stand by ur side not some weak human.” I felt someone come in and I said “ I’ll talk to you later it just became over crowded” and hung up. 

As I was turning around her intoxicating smell hit me and she said “Well i was called in here by my manager so excuse me if i interuptted your phone call” and you can just about see the anger rolling off of her in waves as I just walked up to her with an urge to grab her in my arms and hold her till I felt satisfied but I kept my wolf at bay and just blended to reach her ear and said “ if it were only you i was talking about your comment would have made sense but i was actually talking about dear old Ariel behind you” as I smiled and inhaled her tantalizing scent and my wolf just purred at that simple notion and to be quite honest it was amazing I finally felt complete. 

Just one problem get her to love me and finish things with Ariel which was the hardest thing. Since she was explaining everything to my beautiful mate i would wait for the right time to tell her that i no longer wanted to marry her but is any time right i was deep in thought and i just wanted to know so much about my mate for example what she does for fun, what does she like or not like what do i do to make her happy. 

 I no longer cared for anything but her she was my only sole purpose for living and i would do anything to make sure she has everything she could ever want. I went over to Ariel and told her that i had some things to take care of and i would stop by to talk to her later on. I took my leave before she wanted a kiss. 

I was in such a rush to get out of there that i didnt get to  say goodbye to my mate s**t so rude and my first impression was horrible i have to make it up to her and lucian just said “ no duh dip s**t” i rolled my eyes and thought about my wolf and how hard he has had it all these years alone while yearning for his mate and only getting my tastes in bed and i just opened the link between us and said “ hey buddy im sorry i’m just now realizing that ive been inconsiderate towards you all these years with you wanting to wait for our mate but a man has needs and i know that should be no excuse but im saying it now and that should count for something right?” he stood silent and all but cut the link between us and i just stood there baffled. 

Before we found our mate he was always telling me to wait and he never reprimanded  me but this attitude from him was kind of heart breaking because ive never felt or seen him this way. All he wanted was our mate so i had to protect her at all cost.

 A couple of hours passed and I was dreading to talk to Ariel since I knew she would all but sob in my car and hate me after but I have to listen to my wolf for once and get it over and done with my wolf suddenly said “ yes it’s the best and maybe we can ask some questions regarding Scarlett” I just rolled my eyes but spoke up and said “ You really think she is gonna tell us anything regarding Scarlett after we just dumped her right before the wedding” in a duh tone and he all but yelled “ well ask before you dump her i***t we have to know something if anything at all” and I just cut the link since I was nervous enough to break her heart already.

 I waited about 10 more mins because she came out all the time at the same time and she all but ran to my truck and hopped in and tried to give me a kiss but I ducked and gave her a kiss on the fore head and she smiled.

“ Hey we need to talk but before I get into that I wanted to ask some questions about that girl Scarlett”  I said she gave me a lopsided smile and said “ what do you wanna know did she do something wrong just tell me cause I hate her attitude and honestly I’ve been trying to fire her for some time but she’s just to good of an employee.” 

When she was done I had to take a breather because of my wolf wanting to rip her head off for disrespecting our mate but I soon said “ no she didn’t do anything wrong but she doesn’t laugh much as I heard you saying why is that do you know” her face lit up and she said “ Well she was married before now divorced god only knows why but from what I heard her husband left her to be out there playing around with other females and now she works two dead end jobs while trying to take care of two amazing little kids that she loves to death” I all but stood shocked and stiffened hearing she has two kids and my wolf immediately said “ we will take care of her and her two kids for now they are ours!” I nodded and she said “why do you wanna know about her she’s ugly”. My wolf all but lost it and I just said in a flat angry tone “ why do you have to talk about people like that she is very pretty and to be all straightforward with you I came here to call off the marriage I don’t see myself with you especially after now and how you down talked her. She hasn’t done anything to you and you should sympathize with her because of what happened”. 

She looked at me and started crying and trying to hold my hand and get closer but I let my alpha voice boom when I said “ get out my car lose my number and don’t contact me again!” “ What is it you found someone else? Or is it that you want Scarlett now huh since you were asking about her I will make you pay for this for making me look like a fool!!” she said.  It must have shown that I had an amused face because she stormed out and went back in her job and I just took off.
