Alpha Phoenix
I ran past the creek and the leaves crunched beneath my feet. It was such nice weather for a run. The wind blowing through my fur was a good feeling. Peace was beginning to wash over me. I decided to lay down beneath a tall shady tree. I had only just settled down when I was mind-linked. Fenrik was frantic. “Alpha, where are you? We need you back here ASAP!”, said Fenrik. I groaned, but duty called. I bet it was nothing important. Fenrik sometimes made a big deal over the smallest things. Over mind-link I said, “I’ll be right there. I went for a run.” I trotted back leisurely and once I got back to the edge of the woods I found Fenrik waiting with a fresh set of clothes. After shifting I changed and we walked back towards the pack house. “What’s so important that you needed to bother me?”, I asked. Fenrik looking worried said, “It’s Alpha Ronan and Luna Corrine. They were attacked at the border of the pack lands. It caused the Luna to go into labor, but she is fine. Alpha Ronan is healing at his pack house. The rogue that attacked them got away, but not unscathed.” This didn’t shock me as we just had a meeting about them roaming around. “I am glad that both are okay. We need to do a patrol to make sure that he didn’t come here. Call the warriors to my office and the pack to the pack house.”, I said. I am not looking forward to this, but I need to make sure my pack is safe. This rogue must be a fierce wolf to hurt an Alpha. I needed to announce what happened and let everyone know to be on guard. Everyone had gathered so I quieted them with my Alpha voice. “Welcome. We have brought you here to let you know of a situation at hand. Alpha Ronan was attacked on his way back to his pack. There is a Rogue wolf out there. You all need to be vigilant. Do not panic as we take control of this situation.”, I announced. Gasps came from the crowd and I saw the fear in their eyes. “Again, do not panic. This will be dealt with in a timely manner.”, I said.
The Rogue - Kai
I left that wolfless girl with some food and headed out. I had taken her a few days ago while I was out looking for something to eat. She shouldn’t have been out in the woods alone. She’s weak and it was easy to overpower her as she hadn’t gotten her wolf yet. Pathetic. To be without a wolf at 18. Might as well have just left her pack because she’s useless. No one will come looking for her. She doesn’t even have a mate. So, maybe I’ll even have my way with her. I hadn’t decided on that yet. I had other issues to worry about right now. I’ve been found and need to move both me and the girl to another place. That’s not going to be the easiest thing as I’d risk losing the girl and she could go running back to her family and pack. My wolf was enraged that I hd been so careless. “How could you do that? Why cause such a commotion?”, he asked in my mind. I grumbled under my breath and dredged out to try to find another cave or abandoned spot. I had attacked an alpha and his mate. He would come for me, I knew it. He came too close to the cave. They seemed like they were looking for somewhere to rest and when they came to the entrance I had no choice. I couldn’t let them find the girl. I had shifted and attacked. What else could I do? I began running with wild thoughts in my head. Perhaps if I can get to another pack land I could find a place to hide out. I stopped by a river and looked at my reflection. My face was scratched, but already healing. There would definitely be a scar near my eye in human form. I continued on in search of whatever I could find. It was getting dark so I had little time before having to head back. There was a sense of doom in the air and it made me uneasy. I’ll have to face my demons eventually, but I didn’t want today to be that day.
